  • Better than the pictures

"My family of four plus grandparents stayed at the property in March 2017. Indoors: Decor was very nice, super clean and very tasteful, my guess is probably Swiss or French owners. While there's a lot of square footage, there are three bedrooms (two are masters, and one for the kids) so do plan accordingly. Outdoors: space is amazing! We pretty much spent all of our time outside. Plenty of places to sit and entertain, take a dip in the pool or watch the birds and the sunset against the background of the foothills. The weather was perfect, the pool was warm, so we ended up canceling a lot of our plans, and just inviting friends over to the house to hang out and enjoy the outdoor setting. Around Town: We definitely needed a car. We found that traveling into downtown was easy enough. We ended up going to Charro Steakhouse for dinner (188 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85701), which I also recommend highly, especially for folks like us who are from out of town and want that Southwestern love in their food. In addition, we took the family horseback riding at Houstons (12801 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85748), about a 10-12 min drive from the house. Bobbie who runs Houstons was so great with the kids. When in Tucson, usually, we stay in Starpass at the JW Marriott, which is a wonderful resort across town (West of I-10). While staying at a resort is very different than staying at a rental house (e.g. you're exchanging access to golf courses for access to a private pool), I thought that this property definitely stood up against the JW from the standpoint of quality and cleanliness. It definitely doesn't disappoint. So, just book it. :) Lastly - the property manager (KM) was overly communicative in a good way. She made sure we knew what the gate codes were, and that she was just a text msg, phone call or email away. Her level of service and attention to detail was 5-star. Needless to say, we've already started planning our next trip back. My viewpoint is that of a person who travels globally 150 to 200 nights a year for the last five years. I am a Marriott Rewards Platinum Guest and an Alaska Airlines MVP Gold. Happy traveling!"

  • Elegant Casita for the win

"Two week stay for a couple of midwestern gals visiting local friends, hiking and sight seeing. This modern adobe casita is immaculate, and nicely designed to take advantage of the beautiful, surrounding desert landscape. French doors open to the patio where flowers abound and meals can be shared at the shaded table. Inside: living/dining space with fireplace, contemporary kitchen, two bedrooms and marble bath. Every convenience is provided including Sferra bed linens and KitchenAid cookware. Fifteen minutes from U of A campus, twenty minutes from historic center of Tucson to the west or Sabino Canyon hiking to the east. Hosts are most gracious and helpful. We will return. Anne B. • Beautiful, quiet, nature-filled, home away from it all.

"We enjoyed our stay at this home very much. The home is very well appointed - the kitchen has it all! The beds and linens are really comfortable. It is close to all things Tucson, while still being quiet and private. We sat outside on the porch for all our meals and every evening under the stars. We loved the many birds and the view of the mountains and Tucson. Thanks for filling the hummingbird feeders! One morning a couple of deer greeted us in the yard. We also enjoyed the pool every day of our stay. It's cool when first getting in, but really nice after that...and talk about views while you're swimming! We took advantage of the Starr Pass Golf Course while in town which is literally at your feet here. It's a treat of a course. The house is older, but really a great retreat. We hate to leave this place. Stayed: March 2017"
