  • A great place to stay in a great place to play!

"I've stayed here a few times and have really enjoyed the view of the mountains, the desert life, and the nearby (biking distance) MTB trails. Saguaro West has a huge network of trails to explore. Tucson has a really cool downtown and is close enough for a night out but far enough to really feel like you're out in the desert. There are great kitchen amenities and satellite TV in the casita when you would rather relax. The roads are easy- I was able to drive around in a compact car. John, Anita, and dogs are great hosts. I would definitely recommend this spot for a couples get-away or for a small group of mountain bikers, climbers, and nature lovers."

  • Fantastic stay in an straight-out-of-a-magazine mid century architectural gem

"We had a wonderful stay with our family of 6 (4 adults / 2 kids 7 & 11). The vibe of the house was excellent - we loved the architecture, floor to ceiling windows, spacious rooms, and great views. We were fortunate to have perfect Tucson hot weather - a nice relief from the East Coast chill. The deck was nice to spend time out on, and the pool area was perfect for us - nice chairs and umbrellas under a cloudless sky. And pool time was great - we went in several times per day with the pool heated. Plenty of pool toys and lots and lots of towels which let us avoid having to constantly do laundry. The mid-century decor was perfect down to the details - Eames chairs and a great double-sized built in sofa in a living room with plenty of room for all of us to hang out. We loved the aesthetic of the desert landscaping and our kids got a kick out of seeing a few lizards scurrying around. The Foothills area where the house is located is a beautiful area not too far from everywhere. First time back in Tucson since college in the 90s, and the town has really grown and developed significantly. Excellent food shopping nearby down the road from the house at Bashas, and nice spa luxuriating at the Spa at Lowe's Ventana Canyon. Loved brunch at Prep & Pastry (hip & tasty). Downtown has grown in a major way - we enjoyed grilled cheese on an inside out donut with local beers and craft whiskey at Batch, yummy Poke and creative sushi at Obon, and a fun visit to the legendary Hotel Congress. Real deal Mexican Food at BK, and an enjoyable breezy night game of UofA Softball on campus. And oh yeah: In-N-Out Burger - because Double Double [Protein Style] (undeniable). Nice treats in the fridge upon arrival, and small house requests were easily and quickly fulfilled by Anne. We'd be happy to come back again!"

  • Comfortable and Convenient

"We found Casa Bella the perfect place to stay while attending our grandson's high school graduation. The house is well appointed, but unpretentious and we felt at home right away. The southwest landscaping blends into the historic neighborhood and being history buffs, we enjoyed walking around and looking at the varied architecture. During our stay, there was not one item that we wished for that we did not find in a drawer or tucked away in a cabinet. We like to cook and this was especially true of the kitchen. We used the quiet and ample backyard for a family picnic one afternoon and Lillian kindly brought over extra lawn chairs to accommodate us. The front patio is a great place for breakfast as well. We give this clean and well located rental a high five!"

  • Very Peaceful Setting

"Having to come down in the heat of summer we did not know what to expect. We only stayed at the Casita to sleep and have morning coffee because of family commitments, but it was the perfect resting place for us. Very quiet and a beautiful sitting area for our morning coffee. We can only imagine how beautiful the sunsets are. We would love to find the time to spend a few weeks in the winter. We are sure it has to be one of the most relaxing places you could find. We only got to meet the owners one morning but I assure you that they will help to make your stay very pleasurable."
