"We live in a quiet private area and wanted something in Tucson as close to our norm as possible. Karine's condo exceeded all of our expectations. Lovely, quiet, upscale, and great location on the northern edge of Tucson. Karine (owner) is a pleasure to work with; you'll wish all of your travel accommodations went this well. First floor, private, with a touch of nature out your back door. We are in Tucson annually to visit relatives and have now found our home away from home. I hardly ever write reviews (honest) but this one deserves my time. Just do it, you won't regret it at all."

  • Convenient location, near U of A Medical Center. Close to shopping. Private

"We were in the area for medical reasons, requiring us to be there 5 days a week for about 7 seven weeks. We appreciated the privacy we were afforded and the fact we were able to come home on weekends and not worry about our belongings. The guest house was very comfortable and well stocked with things needed for everyday living. We felt very safe as the area around the guest house was secured with locking gates. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Private Sonoran Desert Retreat

"Two of us enjoyed the privacy and desert wildlife. Very clean and comfortable. Very convenient for hikes on Mt. Lemmon. Enjoyed evening and morning meals on the patio."

  • Delightful Diversion in the Desert

"Mr. McElwaine's deluxe casita at Starr Pass Resort was a wonderful vacation for us for the entire month of June 2016. Everything we needed for a relaxing getaway was provided, included a fully furnished kitchen, comfortable living room, tv's in each of the three rooms, and patio with outstanding view of the mountains. The location on the west side of Tucson is very convenient to most of the city and suburbs, and we were downtown or on the interstate in minutes - something you can't say about the other resorts we visited located on the north or east side of town. While wifi is not provided, we took the free Marriott shuttle several times up to the main resort and used the internet in the lobby or Starbucks. We also took advantage daily of the wonderful, large pool and exercise room mere steps from our door. A nice surprise was the appearance of a number of desert animals visible from our patio: javelinas, deer, coyotes, road runners and many types of birds. I appeciate the fact that the designers of the complex tried to leave the desert untouched which allowed the wildlife to exist as always in spite of the development. Dave, the owner, stopped in to check on us during our stay, giving us ideas on where to eat and what to see. His son, who lives in the vicinity, was helpful when there was a problem with the cable tv reception, and the problem was resolved quickly. The monthly charge for this 2 br, 3 ba condo was very competitive for the area and allowed us to enjoy a month here, rather than a week or two which had been our original plan. I would recommend this casita to any one of my friends looking for a long or a short stay in Tucson."
