"This is the owners' home, which they rent out while they are traveling, so it's really like staying at a friend's house, not a rental. There are lots of things of a personal nature, like photos (I recognized one of their sons, who used to manage a local restaurant), and the place is very well kept, as you'd expect of such a home in a great neighborhood. The layout of the primary living space is remarkably functional. I had 10 relatives in town for three days, four staying at my home and the rest at this one, and we got together for afternoon socializing and dinner there every night. We couldn't get everyone around the table, but we put the two young girls at the counter, where they could have some time to themselves, while only being a dozen feet away. There was everything that you need to cook and serve whatever you'd like, with a Whole Foods and Safeway less than a mile away, and a much better market (AJ's) only a few miles farther. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants in close proximity if you don't want to cook on vacation. Don't miss breakfast or lunch at the Tohono Chul Tearoom, which is only about a half mile away. The outdoor area is lovely, and we were able to enjoy the typical Tucson weather for this time of year (i.e., highs in the mid to upper 70s and sunny most all of the time, though not enough to warm the pool up yet, except for the most cold-tolerant among us). The owners asked if there was anything they could do to improve it, and no one staying there could really think of anything."
