  • Wonderful out of town getaway within Saguaro National park.

"The Bunkhouse is a perfect desert home away from the city. The location is ideal for hiking the Tucson Mountain range, the Saguaro National parks, and for sight seeing. Lou and Ozzie make the stay comfortable in every way. For those wanting complete privacy Lou and Ozzie make sure you are not disturbed...but for those wanting a more social experience Lou and Ozzie are great to hang out with for conversation or hiking or gathering recommendations. The Bunkhouse is well equipped , comfortable and clean. There is more than enough storage and closet space. The office area is a great space for anyone who needs to stay connected for business. The landscaping is a relaxing oasis. Orange and grapefruit trees stand right outside your door. And a huge front porch awaits you for morning coffee...quiet dinners...sunsets...or just kicking back. The internet worked well for our business and pleasure requirements. We would highly recommend The Bunkhouse for a Tucson home away experience. We plan to return."

  • Absolutely loved it. Would go back again in a second.

"We loved staying at this property. We've been to Tucson three times now and this was by far the best place we've stayed. The house sits at the back of the owner's property and is surrounded by lovely Tucson desert flora. It's quite a ways from the Micole's house and he's very respectful about coming down. There's a patio on the back which faces eastward towards the Rincon mountains. Each morning, we'd eat breakfast out there and watch the sunrise. The house itself was very nice and exceptionally clean. Perfect for two people. It has stained concrete floors (red of course) and is decorated appropriately for the desert southwest. The bathrooms are both quite nice and the master bath has a large walk in shower. Do note that you are bordering Tucson open space. We had a coyote visitor who slept near the back of the house for two nights. It was a pleasure watching him wake up in the morning, stretch and go about his day. We also had Javelinas come by the patio (it is fenced in) while eating dinner. You're really in their environment and if you like wildlife, it's a real treat to be so close to it."
