  • Super comfy house will lots of space and privacy!

"We had a great time renting from Toby. Tom, the caretaker, met us at the house and answered all of our questions, even the silly ones and we were on our way! Our adult children met us in Tucson for Thanksgiving week. We had plenty of space for the 7 of us and 2 dogs. The yard is amazing with art work and cactus everywhere! Inside is fun and funky with antiques but not stuffy at all! We celebrated Thanksgiving here and had all we needed to cook the turkey along with about 7 sides and 2 desserts! I would totally recommend this site for its convenient location, privacy, and great chill atmosphere!"

  • Lovely, relaxing vacation

"Everything noted by earlier reviewers is true! This is a lovely home in a magical setting. It’s decorated wonderfully, and fully equipped. The kitchen is the best equipped that we’ve ever found in a VRBO. The location is perfect - away from congestion, but close enough to get places. It’s a reasonable drive to downtown Tucson, or to the Sonora Desert Museum, for example. Quarry Pines golf course nearby is recommended for golfers. We enjoyed a great vacation here: wine on the deck at sunset; coffee in the morning at sunrise; a few dinners out; a lot of local sightseeing; and much, much relaxation."

  • Fantastic stay in an straight-out-of-a-magazine mid century architectural gem

"We had a wonderful stay with our family of 6 (4 adults / 2 kids 7 & 11). The vibe of the house was excellent - we loved the architecture, floor to ceiling windows, spacious rooms, and great views. We were fortunate to have perfect Tucson hot weather - a nice relief from the East Coast chill. The deck was nice to spend time out on, and the pool area was perfect for us - nice chairs and umbrellas under a cloudless sky. And pool time was great - we went in several times per day with the pool heated. Plenty of pool toys and lots and lots of towels which let us avoid having to constantly do laundry. The mid-century decor was perfect down to the details - Eames chairs and a great double-sized built in sofa in a living room with plenty of room for all of us to hang out. We loved the aesthetic of the desert landscaping and our kids got a kick out of seeing a few lizards scurrying around. The Foothills area where the house is located is a beautiful area not too far from everywhere. First time back in Tucson since college in the 90s, and the town has really grown and developed significantly. Excellent food shopping nearby down the road from the house at Bashas, and nice spa luxuriating at the Spa at Lowe's Ventana Canyon. Loved brunch at Prep & Pastry (hip & tasty). Downtown has grown in a major way - we enjoyed grilled cheese on an inside out donut with local beers and craft whiskey at Batch, yummy Poke and creative sushi at Obon, and a fun visit to the legendary Hotel Congress. Real deal Mexican Food at BK, and an enjoyable breezy night game of UofA Softball on campus. And oh yeah: In-N-Out Burger - because Double Double [Protein Style] (undeniable). Nice treats in the fridge upon arrival, and small house requests were easily and quickly fulfilled by Anne. We'd be happy to come back again!"

  • the most accurate assessment is that the 'casita' was as represented- expectations met.

"we stayed 5 nights. owners were helpful but not intrusive. poolside, the property looks from west Tucson foothills NW to Catalinas- a perfect sundowner spot. the 'casita ' patio looks into a palo verde/cactii filled wash alive with the dove, quail , hawks and happily the songbirds and hummers which had already left our place in Wyoming, but which we rejoined in Tucson. a very enjoyable, comfortable and quiet base camp for all the exploring, urban and more back country, a person would like to do."
