  • 5 Star, Thumbs UP property

"Staying at this home in the NE Catalina Foothills parallels other properties owned by Rita Jann where I have visited: the retreat facility, La Tierra Sagrada, in Baja and The Park at Crystal Springs on the Applegate River in Oregon and The Light House in Sedona, AZ. All of these places have been amazing. This Sabino Canyon home has been another exquisite place to take in Rita Jann’s superb ability to make you feel right at home. She has done it again and you can always count on her to put together the best. Every place has been different and every place has given me such great delight. The experience has been beyond words. I highly recommend her home in Tucson and hope to come back again and again. I love being so close to the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area. Every morning, I go for my morning run in the Canyon. It is a lovely area for running, hiking and just strolling along taking in all the beauty. It is quiet and peaceful.. It feels like I have a huge park that goes for miles and miles. I like coming back to this beautiful home to enjoy my breakfast out on the patio. It is so comfortable, so cozy. I often go to different areas around Tucson, everything is so easily accessible. In the evenings there is always live music somewhere. All in all, this home is perfect, the location is the best and I have enjoyed every minute living here. The furnishings and decor are lovely, the beds are super comfortable, the linens are excellent and the kitchen is well equipped. I could not of asked for anything more, except more time to be here. Thank you so much, Rita Jann, for creating another great place to come to and enjoy. You have a magical talent for creating beauty where ever you go and I am thrilled to have this home on my list as one of my all time favorite places. I look forward to coming back"

  • Wonderful Location

"I absolutely loved our stay at the Jailhouse Inn. The manager was super attentive and easy to talk to and the property was absolutely outstanding. I loved sitting on our stoop as the historic jeep tours paused and I even invited Canadian tourists to stick their head in and take a peek. I have bad knees so one of the features I loved most was the proximity to the Gulch and that the stairs were very manageable."

  • Amazing views!

"Wonderful property the pictures really don't do it justice. Amazing views of the mountains and the town. The kitchen is also wonderful and had everything we need to make breakfast. We enjoyed breakfast and the views on one of the patios. Very clean and well kept. Easy walk down to town and coming back up is a great workout! We have a mid sized car and had no issues with the parking space. Really great home and will be our go to spot for all future trips!"

  • Extraordinary views; beautiful home

"The rental house is beautiful, and perfect for up to two couples, as the two bedrooms, each with a bathroom, are on opposite sides of the house. The fireplace is perfect for cool evenings and draws perfectly; there was no hint of smoke in the house. The owner, Brian, was very easy to contact and made sure we had everything we needed. The best thing about the house, though, is the location. About a 10-minute easy drive north of Patagonia, the main porch of the house faces south, and the views are incredible. The house is perched on a hill and you can see for many miles east, south, and west. The sunrises, sunsets, stargazing, and birdwatching are all terrific right at the house. In addition to the resident Say's Phoebe and house finches, we had broad-billed hummingbirds, black-chinned hummingbirds, grey hawks, and vermillion flycatchers right at the house. Views from the bedrooms are great, too. There are no near neighbors. You can hike right from the house, for birdwatching purposes, and it's less than a half-hour drive to sites for more serious birding and hiking. Madera Canyon is only about an hour away. I cannot imagine any better place to stay in this part of Arizona. I feel very lucky that we found it, and I hope to return again someday."
