  • "The Desert Nature Channel"

"Read the previous 5 STAR reviews. It's all true. We were lucky to spend more than 4 months at this perfect place and yes, there was a resident owl above the front porch. And yes, the hosts are the best. If you want to look out the window at the "Desert Nature Channel " this is the place. We saw a gorgeous bobcat right by the living room window. Look for the Tucson musician Naim Amor, a former Parisian. His song "Creole" sets a perfect SW mood. Eat at "Seis" in the Mercado San Agustin. You will want to move to Tucson...we are !"

  • Perfect!

"Our stay at Casa Amarillo was great! Very clean; close to shops on 4th, Tucson Visitor Center and the university; coffee, shampoo, body wash, conditioner and blow dryer provided along with lots travel brochures. A future stay in Tucson will include this charming casita!"

  • A Great Place to Stay!

"My self and wife, 24yo son, and wife's parents stayed at Jim and Sandy's house for our annual Thanksgiving week vacation. Upon getting close to arriving I contacted Jim and he told me how to get into the house as they were out to dinner. We got in easily and started unloading supplies. There was even a fresh homemade loaf of banana bread on the kitchen counter and a bottle of wine! After a short while, Jim and Sandy showed up and welcomed us to their rental home. Jim took me around to show me the amenities, washer/dryer, etc. while Sandy chatted with the rest of the gang. This house is very welcoming and well laid out. Lots of recliners and the sofa was actually comfortable. The enclosed sun porch was a great place to enjoy my morning coffee. The kitchen is well stocked and it's incredibly easy to find everything. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. My wife and I kept our bedroom windows open all night and listened to the coyotes howling in the distance. We woke to the sounds of the many different kinds of birds waking up with us. Overall there is a great sense of silence outside with the only sounds those of nature. We never needed the heater or air conditioning but we did have several cozy DuraLog fires in the fireplace. We went for several walks on the trails and roads, visited the Kitt Peak National Observatory nearby and I enjoyed spending some time wandering around with my camera. There is a mini-mart in nearby 3 Points as well as a couple of dollar stores and a hardware store. We visited with Jim and Sandy a few times. They are very friendly and really want your stay to be enjoyable. I got the sense that they would let us take the lead in just how much interaction with them there was even though they are just across the street. Overall a fantastic stay in the Arizona desert!"

  • Nice Community

"Condo was very nice and well appointed. Debbie (the owner) is very good at communications. Location is very good if you like to hike. Trail into Vantana canyon is nice to the property. Sabino Canyon is just a short drive. Condo is extremely close to the pool and workout room. Would stay there again."
