  • To Get Away From It All...

"Diana, the host, has aptly named this sweet little guest house, Desert Solitaire. I live in the city and when I booked this place I really wanted to get away from EVERYTHING: crowds, traffic noise, pollution. I was not disappointed. At night, I heard owls and coyotes. I felt like I was living on a page from Edward Abbey's book! This place is so peaceful, but if you want to be close to services like restaurants, Starbucks, etc., this is not the place to be. If you want to clear your head, this is the place."

  • In Town Sanctuary ! Perfect!

"The host was clear, friendly and thoughtful. The house was cared for, creative and well designed. The openness and floorpan is easy and bright. The design matches how I want to feel in Tucson with old town rustic but clean, open and thoughtful flares. There is plenty of privacy with the courtyard and other outdoor hideaways. The neighborhood is a perfect location for staying in town with easy and quick access to the interstate and downtown culture. Only good things to say about this rental. Arrived impressed and left happy. Thank you Amy!"

  • Nice well kept home. Pleasant patio.

"A very nice rental home. Quiet location. Well maintained. Has everything you might need. The kitchen/dining room looking south and east across the patio/garden is very pleasant. John the owner was helpful and goes the extra mile to deal with any issues. His description on the VRBO website is accurate -- "East side of Tucson", "twenty to thirty-five minutes from downtown Tucson". But it is a very convenient location if you are looking for access to things on the East Side -- e.g. Saguaro National Park (Rincon side). There are also a supermarket and several strip malls less than 2 minutes drive from the house."

  • Cute room, quiet retreat

"I thoroughly enjoyed my long weekend at Bessie's Nest. It's a secluded neighborhood, perfect for a quiet retreat. The bed was comfortable, the room very clean, and everything as it was advertised. I enjoyed my stay and would book again if I'm ever in the area."
