  • An oasis in the desert

"We chose this property because of the interesting descriptions and it being out of the way, but still close to central Tucson. We had a GREAT TIME. The Casita is large with plenty of room for the two of us and everything was well organized and completely comfortable. We enjoyed getting to know our hosts, Jim and Karen, over a few glasses of wine. They provided an unending source of information for places to go, things to see, and outstanding food. We came with a few of our days already scheduled and had no problems filling the rest of the time with either exploring the southern part of Arizona based on Jim and Karen's information, or just sitting back on our patio and watching the never ending parade of birds and other wildlife in their backyard. It was great to completely relax and unwind and experience a part of the country very different from even the desert we have in southern California. We would highly recommend this property and our hosts Jim and Karen!"

"Outstanding getaway from Tucson heat. Great layout for families with kids. We really enjoyed large deck area where we spent most of our time. Bar b que was new and worked like a charm. • DO IT!!! You'll have a wonderful time!!!

"Sue's casitas is perrrrrrrrfect! Green Valley is Arizona's best kept secret, lush and green, surrounded with gorgeous mountain vistas. Her cozy home is comfortable and well equipped. The photos don't do the casitas justice, the natural lighting throughout make it very inviting. The lovely back patio was perfect for drinking wine and taking in the enormous number of stars! The surrounding neighborhood with it's lush golf course is beautiful and well kept. The encircling mountain views are magnificent as well the lovely trees lining the valley. Perfect walking distance to colorful Tubac. There -guests will explore unique art visiting with artists and welcoming shop owners. There is a large variety delicious meals to satisfy everyone's preference and don't miss out on "to die for" margaritas. My husband I created many beautiful memories there and are pleased to encourage you to do the same. ENJOY ENJOY!! DOIT!!!! P 'n J Alt Oct 2016"

  • Cat bird seat

"When we arrived at High Road House there was half and half, artisan bread, eggs, jam, butter, coffee, muffins and even mustard in the refrigerator. The place was very clean and pleasing. The little porch is so pleasant and perfect to sit in and look at the town and mountains. It is so close to the action yet removed enough to be quiet and relaxing. This is the second time we have stayed here and we'll do it again. The view is beautiful. The landscaping outside of the porch is lovely and attracts so many birds and hummingbirds!"
