  • Thanksgiving in Paradise, 7 adults and 3 children

"The owners are lovely people and so accommodating and communicative, answering my questions in a prompt and friendly manner. They knew we would be cooking Thanksgiving dinner in their home and when I asked kitchen specifics, Amanda was very detailed about the kitchen supplies. That was so helpful and eliminated many items I was planning to bring from home. There was a high chair and pack n play for our little grandson which allowed us to bring less baby gear. A nice grocery and a Super Walmart is a few minutes away. My husband and I arrived with our parents, married daughter, her husband and three kids and our grown son. The house just feels like home when you walk in the door.Having rented many times, I have had initial reactions from disappointment to just as advertised. But, this property was over the top in my expectations. My family laughed at me because I was so elated!! We have a grandson less than a year old and had no issue with allowing him to crawl around on the floors because they were spotless and gleaming. All of the showers and tubs were clean, shiny with no signs of mildew. The kitchen was scrubbed clean and shiny as well. The bedrooms are large with plenty of room for kids to play, in fact my granddaughters spent a good amount of time playing in the "bunk bed" room, referring to it as their room. All the beds were so comfy and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and toilet paper for our crew. The main living areas are arranged so that you can be together while still having plenty of room to move about and never feeling like you are on top of one another. The open kitchen concept allows interaction; while making meals I could see everyone in the living areas while I cooked. The large dining table accommodates 8 and it was also a great place for our family games every night. TV's everywhere made the guys happy for holiday football games. We had rain and chilly weather for our stay, but having all the large windows and sliding doors still allowed us to bring the outside in and we ventured out to the decks and lawn when the rain subsided. My granddaughters and I had hot cocoa on the upper deck while snuggled in our blankets and it was so cozy and peaceful and QUIET! I took the grands for walks and to a nearby playground and the little chipmunks were scurrying all around and they loved that. As I write this I am trying to figure out when we can enjoy this lovely home again"

  • Cute and cozy

"Cozy, had everything you need for 2 people. Being able to bring the dog was a plus. Close to Hot Springs if you take one of the closer gates. We went down to check out the Village."
