  • Most Perfect Layout of the Property in Proximity to the Water

"Our stay was wonderful. We were far enough away from the water for small children to be safe and close enough to walk down to the beach and cool off from the summer heat. The canoe and kayaks saw the water constantly and we enjoyed jumping off the pier into the water for hours. The cabin is cozy and has everything necessary for a nice summer vacation get away. I hope to return next year."

  • Sweet retreat

"We have stayed in many VRBOs over the last several years and this is one of my favorites. It was a beautiful property! The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The shoreline was perfect! Rocks line the whole shoreline so there is no mud or mess to worry about and the water is clear and beautiful. In fact it was even deep enough in spots our kids were able to jump off a higher rock ledge into the water. The kids also caught several fish right off the bank. The cove was peaceful and the land gorgeous. We did end up with ticks all over us every time we explored the property though, even with bug spray so be prepared! Several people did get lost on the way to the cabin as mapquest took them the wrong way, so I would definitely suggest having the directions that Karen is kind enough to provide as a back up. We were really worried we were going to have trouble getting out of the long rocky driveway, but even those of us without 4 wheel drive were able to get out without trouble. It was wonderful to be secluded and unplugged for a week and the only time we really left the cabin was when we were out on the lake on the boat. Thanks for a wonderful family trip. It is one we will always remember fondly!"

  • Lovely house. Great Lake access!

"Loved the quiet area and the house. House is super cute and has a fair amount of supplies to stay for awhile and is spacious and decorated very nice with good quality furniture, linens and supplies. Has one window unit Ac which worked ok for us since it wasn't very hot when we stayed but with more people and hotter temps would not have been good. I hate to be negative because I really like the house and lakefront property but a few things could be improved on to make this a five star vacation rental. I guess the only two things that would really make the house great is more Ac and curtains on the bedroom windows. I'm not a morning person and having good blackout curtains instead of bamboo shades would be really helpful to a good nights sleep. The beds and linens were great though and the entire house was super clean. I'm not sure at $200.00 a night I should have had to wash, dry, fold and put away the towels as they were originally were or washed, dried and put away all dishes either. I certainly dont mind cleaning up after myself but sorta missed a dishwasher. A fireplace, fire pit, hot tub, dishwasher would make this rental over the top! Perhaps it's best left this way, or it would never be available and so much more expensive. All in all a great property. Oh, make sure you fill out the contract at home and have fax or scan capability. It was 18 pages long and since I was traveling it cost me $26.00 bucks to print and fax back to them before I could get accepted and get access code. Not everyone plans in advance. I spent a year on the road traveling last minute from here to there and it was a hassle getting all that paperwork sent in when it really could be condensed into 2 or 3 pages at most. The $150.00 pet fee was sorts high also I thought. You could tell someone's dog in the sunroom had had many accidents. I kept the door shut because I was worried that my dog would be attracted to the stains on the carpet. I'm not sure what they were but I think pet stains. It didn't smell to me but obviously did to my dog."

  • Awesome, relaxing, rejuvenating

"We love it here. Holiday Island is a great vacation destination. Table Rock Lake at Holiday Island is beautiful... great for fishing, and recreation on the water. Marina is convenient and the service is top notch. This home is beautiful, well out-fitted, the sun room is relaxing with a great view of the 9-hole golf course. The living area is open offering a great social option. There are 2 golf courses if you enjoy golf. Eureka springs is close by with many restaurant options. Silver Dollar City and Branson is only 1 hour away. We will be back."
