  • A river runs behind it!!

"The property was a little difficult to find. Directions were fine until we got close, then I had to call for help because it was not clear where to go. The property was as pictured on the website. I couldn't get the WiFi to connect. I confirmed the password with the manager, but it still did not work. I was most likely doing something wrong. It was quiet and I was able to do some reading while others fished on the river. The fishing was not very good mostly because of the fluctuation of the water level coming from Bull Shoals Lake as it is released. There were lots of boats up and down the river as well. It is a popular place for sure. There were a lot of Grandaddy Longleg spiders around both inside and outside. There were webs in the corners of the main room and one web went from the TV table to the window ledge. The kitchen was adequately stocked with basic dishes, pots, and pans. Need a new shower curtain liner in the bathroom. Nice supply of towels and wash cloths. Built a fire on the last night in the fire pit. Too windy other days. Nice to have wood available for that. The 10-year old ate a lot of marshmallows. We did not go out to eat, so I can't really give an opinion about that. Can get last minute supplies in Flippin at the Wal-Mart if you're coming from that direction. We would recommend this place to others for a nice get away."

  • Weekend Getaway With the Pups!

"This house is amazing! Every amenity is thought through and executed perfectly. Comfortable Beds, Relaxing Chairs and Sofa, Big Spacious Kitchen and the FIRE PIT! It's amazing! Super easy to go down the street to the Gilbert Store and Buffalo River Rental and they were so helpful and kind there. They set us up for a leisurely float down the Buffalo, where we were able to take detours and find swim holes for us and the dogs to enjoy the Buffalo River. Then we came back to Hilltop Hideaway and made an amazing dinner, popped open a bottle of wine and built a fire in the pristine firepit. It was a magical evening in a magical place! I highly recommend this oasis from it all!"

  • Great place to stay

"Three separate families, including 3 teenagers stayed four days, three nights. Amazing home. Lots of room where you are not on top of one another. Plenty of lights, fans, dishes and all, just bring food and clothes. The river is right there with a great view from the living room. Friendly neighbors, plenty of wildlife, and the perfect place for walks, fishing, talking, relaxing and getting away from it all. The amenities are nice (not cheap stuff). The owner was great, responsive and friendly. Oh yea, the master shower is worth it alone!"
