  • Lovely, Serene and Quiet

"We had a wonderful weekend reunion in this lovely home. The setting is beautiful, serene and quiet. The home was built in the 1970's by an artist, and has that vibe. Lots of outdoor seating areas. We loved walking the Carmel neighborhoods to see all the unique homes. The Scenic Drive walk along the coast is beautiful! Be prepared to walk uphill to downtown Carmel. It is easiest to walk the blocks in a "zig-zag" fashion, one east-west, one north-south, etc., rather than leaving all the uphill blocks to the end. The owner is very gracious. The home is perfect for any group that needs three bedrooms. Each bedroom and bathroom is in a separate area and feels very private. One thing to note is that there are stairs, both inside and outside, so it may not be appropriate for anyone who is physically impaired."

  • Location, Location, Location!

"This house is really pretty great. It's huge, but with a somewhat funky configuration. There are three bedrooms and each bedrooms has a queen and a twin. So...it's best to 12 individual people or 12 really good friends, but not best for 4+ couples, like we had. It all worked out, with some people on air mattresses, so I really have no complaints about that. Beds could go for a comfy top layer, but again, that's nitpicking. The kitchen is probably the best stocked kitchen I've ever come across, but I highly suggest they get a new set of knives (or you bring your own). Other than that, the kitchen has everything you could ever need. The location cannot be beat, being a stone's throw from pleasure point. The little beach cafe/convenience store right next door is also really nice. The decks are awesome (and by far my favorite place of the house) and the grill worked splendidly for all our dinners. Speaking of dinner, they have a small table in one area of the living room and then a 6 person dining table, so if you're looking for twelve people to fit around one table, you won't get it here unless you push tables together and even then it might not work. For our group, it was just fine, with some people eating outside and some inside. If you're looking for a large house with a lot of space right smack on pleasure point, then this is the place for you. Not super luxurious, but it has everything you need for a great stay (but for reals, new knives are a must). A group of us also walked to the small beach about five minutes away, which was lovely."

  • Lovely Weekend

"My family rented the Grand Mediterranean for a weekend in late January. It was the perfect place for us. Plenty of communal space in the living room, dining room, and on the veranda. Nice ocean view from the back and awesome mountain view in the front. The kitchen was very well equipped and easy to work in. Of course, the hot tub and outdoor fireplace were wonderful plusses. We hope to stay in this place again in the future. The Mesa area is close to both downtown and the harbor, so it's an ideal location. I wish it were mine!"

  • Wonderful stay!

"Our stay at the cottage was great! The location is beautiful and peaceful. The cottage itself is warm and comfortable and has everything you need. Our two boys were thrilled with the place and begged us not to leave. We will definitely be back!!"
