  • Perfect location, beautiful home for a family vacation!!

"This was the first time my entire family actually had a vacation together. We had the most memorable vacation in Monterey California. The house was perfect, comfortable and had everything you could want. It lacked nothing! We walked to the beach, shopped and just stayed at the house and enjoyed all the comforts of home.. We will go again!!! Thanks Dan!"

  • Thanksgiving week at Mark's Silverstrand Beach House

"I rented Mark's Silverstrand Beach House for 8 nights for Thanksgiving this year. I am from the L.A. area, born and raised, but currently live in Arizona. I wanted to have Thanksgiving at the beach with all of my family who still live in Ventura County. Oh my goodness, what a wonderful time we all had. The house is amazing, perfect for a family. We loved the kitchen/living room/dining area all open with a fireplace to enjoy. We set up all of our Thanksgiving food dishes along the massive bar and set the beautiful dining room table adjacent to the bar, which worked out perfectly. We are "foodies" and the kitchen had everything we needed! We loved having coffee on the front deck, looking at the ocean just down the street a little ways, and utilized the back deck with the mac daddy BBQ for some wonderful dinners with family. Rib eye steaks one night and fresh fish and shrimp another night. Loved sitting out there listing to the ocean and the seals. Every bedroom has a bathroom which was awesome. Loved the pool table and bar area on the top floor, played pool and ping pong with football on the big screen. Fireplace going, cozy!!! We all fell in love with this home! This home is decorated beautifully, classy. I urge anyone who wants to visit the Ventura area and would like to stay in a home to reserve your time at Mark's. You will not be disappointed! We spent a day walking and shopping along Main Street in Ventura, so fun! Santa Barbara is close too. So much to do, kayaking, deep sea fishing, surfing, biking, walks on the beach...... great for active people, and great for those who just want to chill. Take it from me, you will want to return time and again. I know I am!!!"

  • Wonderful place to celebrate family member's death 20 yrs ago.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, I would rate very high. Lovely home, lots of room, close to downtown Paso, etc. Some minor issues that we brought up to the management company. Staff helpful and compassionate related to the reason for our stay. Thanks again!"

  • Spacious and comfortable for an extended family exploring Santa Barbara County

"This was my first VRBO rental, which I chose because I couldn't find a good hotel option for our party of seven spanning three generations. We had more than enough room in this spacious and well-appointed house. Because each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom, there is plenty of privacy. The house is not far from local places to visit, yet it is very quiet at night. The patio overlooking the golf course is wonderful for coffee in the morning and stargazing in the evening. Arroyo Grande was our jumping off point for visits to 1) UC Santa Barbara, La Purissima Mission, Solvang, the Gaudalupe-Nipomo Dunes National Wildlife Refuge and Oso Flaco Lake (great walk for all ages and abilities) to the south, and 2) San Luis Obispo and Avila Beach to the north. The house is clean and fairly new. The kitchen has all the tools needed to do cook real meals, which we enjoyed around the long dining table. There is a decent local supermarket a quick drive away. As a VRBO first-timer I had a number of questions, and the owner was responsive. Our deposit was returned promptly. When we return to Santa Barbara County, we will definitely consider staying in this house again. My one minor complaint is that the furnishings are a bit formal for my taste (e.g., heavy upholstered dining chairs), but that did not impact our relaxing stay. Thanks for a great stay!"
