  • A Perfect Getaway

"This place is precious. The setting is serene. The accommodations are wonderful. We cooked both nights from the perfectly equipped kitchen and took several baths. The bathhouse is phenomenal. The hosts are very courteous and there if you need them, but provide full privacy if you don't. Pictures really cannot do this property or the area justice. It was the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with each other."

  • A Beautiful Place for a Beautiful Wedding

"Our daughter and her fiance chose Mesa del Sol for a venue for their July 9 2016 wedding by viewing the photos and reading the description on VRBO. When we arrived there, we were stunned. Mesa del Sol was more beautiful than shown in the photos. The property was immaculate, surrounded with vineyards, green grass, shade trees and Provence Lavender bushes and provided much privacy for guests.. Gorgeous views of the mountains and the valley below complemented the well appointed, nicely furnished and fully equipped main building and cottages. The spacious outdoors, the 300 year old beautiful oak trees provided a back-drop for an enchanting and magical wedding experience. We loved it and would definitely consider going back there."

  • The Best of Big Sur!

"We were most fortunate to stay at the Moose Lodge in June. Words cannot describe the lodge and its surroundings. If they could, they would all be superlatives ! Our family has been traveling to Big Sur for over twenty years. Accommodations have included tents, cabins, houses, and 5 star resorts. Although any trip to Big Sur is tremendous, our recent vacation week at the Moose Lodge was by far our best. Bill and Anne make the lodge so accommodating we felt as if we were staying at our own home. The love for Big Sur that fills the lodge is indescribable. The home is beautiful, serene, and restful. The views from the lodge are sublime. They will forever be imprinted in our minds. As other reviewers have similarly stated, this was our best vacation ever. I would most strongly encourage anyone visiting Big Sur to consider staying at the Moose Lodge. We will again. As soon as we got home to Pennsylvania we reserved the Moose Lodge for a week next year. Bill and Anne, you have our most sincere thanks for making your home our home ."

  • Magical Cabin in the Woods

"We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in this wonderful main cabin nestled in the Redwood forest. The pictures in the website do not include the magical feeling that you get when you first encounter this cabin. The cabin is surrounded by giant redwood trees and the property even had it's own running stream. The beds were very comfortable and the heat from the wood burning fire stove made the cabin very cozy. Our first night in the cabin we met Abraham, Lisa's Husband. Abraham was really friendly guy and showed us how to use the wood burning fire place. The Kitchen area had all of the utensils, pots, and condiments that you will need to prepare your meals. The beds are really comfortable. Over All, if you are looking for a cozy cabin to just relax and be away from it all then this is the place for you. The cabin's location was ideal if you want to spend a day hiking in Big Sur. It's a few miles away from Point Lobos and we even made it out to Monterrey Aquarium."
