  • Magical Cabin in the Woods

"We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in this wonderful main cabin nestled in the Redwood forest. The pictures in the website do not include the magical feeling that you get when you first encounter this cabin. The cabin is surrounded by giant redwood trees and the property even had it's own running stream. The beds were very comfortable and the heat from the wood burning fire stove made the cabin very cozy. Our first night in the cabin we met Abraham, Lisa's Husband. Abraham was really friendly guy and showed us how to use the wood burning fire place. The Kitchen area had all of the utensils, pots, and condiments that you will need to prepare your meals. The beds are really comfortable. Over All, if you are looking for a cozy cabin to just relax and be away from it all then this is the place for you. The cabin's location was ideal if you want to spend a day hiking in Big Sur. It's a few miles away from Point Lobos and we even made it out to Monterrey Aquarium."

  • Great little cabin in the woods

"Stayed here for two night with my wife, though honestly this place would be perfect for 4-6 people. There's a double bed in the loft, another in the small bedroom downstairs, and a futon couch. It actually has a really nice kitchen for the size and location - though I will mention that while they had some basics stocked (salt, pepper, ketchup, etc) there was no vegetable oil! Just a little weird lol. We did have fun chopping our own firewood to use in the wood stove fireplace, which was also nice cause it got pretty cold at night and this was the only heat source. The place is beautiful though, wonderfully secluded and picturesque. You're basically out in the middle of the forest, and outside they have a patio and lawn area with enough seating for a little party and gas grill. I'd be happy to stay again, great place for just unplugging and relaxing in nature."

  • MAGICAL

"Magical and special! My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and loved every second of this gorgeous house. Big Sur is breathtaking and staying at the Gallery house was the perfect way to spend our anniversary. The views are stunning and the house is charming and very comfortable. The nearby hiking trails are a must! We will be back!!!"

  • AMAZING, magical house in the trees

"My husband and I just came back from spending 3 days and 2 nights at Mary's amazing house. I can't say enough about how special this place is. It is truly heaven on Earth!! Every detail about this property is pure love. We were spending our 25th anniversary there and I couldn't have asked for a more magical place to relax and connect. If I could give more stars I would, it was that great. We arrived to a sweet card and a bottle of wine from Mary. (side note for Mary: I would love to know the history about how the house was made because you can tell it was built with love and attention to every single part of the house, from doors to window frames, and all the eclectic pieces of art. WONDERFUL. We never tired of noticing another cool and unusual personal touch. Maybe a book with pics?) We brought food to cook and never got in our car the whole time. Not another soul or house around so you feel very private. We slept in the yurt one night, and the reading loft (that feels like you are in a tree house) the next. We loved the hot tub surrounded by the beautiful oak and pine trees. The bathroom that has floor to ceiling windows was beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook wonderful meals. Our favorite spot was sitting outside under the full moon by the fireplace. There is even an outdoor shower overlooking the trees. There are birds and even deer that come and visit. Mary has a TV and videos but we didn't turn on electronics once while there. Just brought great music and danced under the moonlight. Feeling very blessed to have had the opportunity to experience this wonderful property. "Thank you Mary" is not enough. I will recommend to friends and family in the hopes that they too can experience this place. We will defiantly be returning in the near future. Jen and Craig"
