"Being able to stay in a private home for our 3 day anniversary trip was a blessing. But to also have a gorgeous view & such a peaceful environment made our stay perfect and memorable. Each night we sat on the back deck I was amazed at how quiet and peaceful it was, with nothing but the rolling surf and chirping birds to hear. I even heard seals barking one night. The lovely part of this home is that just because it got dark and you had to leave the beach, you don't feel cut off from the beautiful nature in this area. Being in the house was just an extension of enjoying the water and the forest. There are plenty of other homes around, but you can't tell while inside and on the decks. There are no neighbors on one side and on the other side there are so many trees between the houses you can't see the neighbors house at all...whether upstairs or downstairs. The seclusion & privacy was romantic and special. And to have the beautiful view not only when in the kitchen and dining area, but upstairs in the master bedroom as well made the entire house a joy. This property is a great value as a rental. I had checked into some of the local hotels and we could have paid more for far less. Mr. Kelty was very accommodating when I contacted him about a last minute trip. We booked just 3 days or so before our arrival & I appreciated him booking us on such short notice. We had no problem getting there using the directions provided, nor with checking in and getting settled. It was all a breeze. The kitchen is pretty well stocked. Even though everything wasn't there, I was able to make due just fine with what was there. (a pair of tongs & maybe a few mixing bowls would be a good addition for the kitchen!) As far as pantry staples, it's a bit of a guess. There were a few things that were helpful....olive oil & salt, but no pepper & a bit of old basil was the only seasoning. I would just suggest bringing what you want to cook with. I don't think that's really part of the deal.....if it's there than it's there, but if not...oh well! The bed was pretty comfortable. Each person has a different preference, but for me a nice feather bed topper would have made this bed perfect, but it was fine as is. Cambria has water issues. I'm from CA so I'm used to it, but I think it's worse in this area. So be ready anywhere you stay here to be asked to sacrifice a bit on towels & such."

  • Very Nice Stay

"We recently stayed at this property while visiting the area. The location is outstanding, quiet neighborhood and great location for getting up and down the central coast and walking distance to the beach. The house is a little dated but was very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed using the outdoor space and BBQ. One warning, bring bottled water for any beverages or making tea or coffee as the water has a strong chlorine taste."

  • This Is It! Our Perfect Cambria Bolthole Experience

"Whenever a 3 - 5 day window opens up, Cambria is our destination of choice. Over these past 7 years, our preferred go to for a professional booking experience: Debbie at Sea and Pines Realty. This is the first time staying ( a full week) at this featured property and we were not disappointed. As both the photos and descriptions depicted, the house really is a gem of light, site and comfort. Everything inside the house worked! No password WiFi and 4 flat screens; charcoal grill and fireplace (buy the charcoal, oak logs and fresh salmon at The Cookie Crock). Nice touches included the lights on for our after dark arrival and detailed current Cambria and area info. So, if you are thinking about a Cambria break and needing a well done family house - this is it! Enjoy."
