  • Cozy, Quiet and Magical

"We stayed at the Treehouse recently and it has it all, super cozy and comfy room with spectacular views. Nestled close to Carmel Valley town and not too far a drive into Carmel or Monterey. It feels like you're staying in a little cabin at an artist's retreat. Nice, clean linens and towels, some frying pans, toaster and microwave and kitchen utensils are available if you plan to cook there. Desiree was very attentive, nice, and quick to reply to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again for sure!"

  • Loved it!

"This home was built in the 70's but has tons of character and charm! The views from this home are amazing from any floor and the master bedroom was our favorite. Susan was very easy to deal with and greeted us on our arrival. We stayed one week and couldn't have picked a better gathering spot for our daughters wedding!"

  • Highly recommended!

"My wife and I stayed in the "Artist's Library " for a friend's wedding recently and absolutely loved it! The unit has plenty of space and is adorned with great art and tons of books which really give the place an awesome energy. The exterior garden area is serene is very well taken care of. It felt like the Shire! Desiree, the owner, was wonderful in every way and really made sure we had a nice stay. Everything about our stay was top notch, we only wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy the scenery and maybe read a book in the garden. We will definitely be back! Thank you Desiree!"

  • A Celebration of 300 Years!

"Four of us, college classmates who graduated in 1963, gathered for a week in this beautiful spot to celebrate our 75th birthdays. We couldn't have found a more perfect place! The house is surrounded by lovely views and is totally isolated from any neighbors. We so enjoyed being together without the usual distractions of modern life. The four bedrooms gave us plenty of privacy, and the well-stocked kitchen allowed us to cook each night after a day of exploring along the spectacular coast. We got a kick out of the twisting road up from the valley, and became almost as adept with it as the natives after a few days. The house and grounds are filled with creative art and whimsy -- so many surprises in each room, out each door, and on each level of the gardens and pool. One of our favorites was an old wooden panel from a 2-seat outhouse, hung on a shed wall. We enjoyed the grill, the hot tub, the TV (to watch the Cubs win the World Series!), and the deck right outside the living room where we watching hummingbirds feed and finches bath in a little pool a few feet from where we were sitting. Oh, and there were fresh limes for our vodka and tonics every night and rosemary for our chicken. In short, this is a spectacular place to gather with those you love."
