  • Beautiful home to stay in Carmel Valley

"We rented this house for the long July 4th weekend and it was 9 adults and 4 babies (all under 10 months). It is such a beautiful home and is fully equipped for all of your needs. We ate in every meal for 4 days and the kitchen is well stocked with all the needed pots, pans, utensils, cookware, etc. It's so close to town that it's easy to run to the market to get something. The driveway is big so it can easily fit 6 cars (we had 5 and there was still space for more). The pool is solar heated so it was still a little chilly but once you're in, it's not so bad. The hot tub was used every night and can fit 4-5 people comfortably. There's a great stash of board games in the dining room and plenty of space to just hang out on the property. We also went wine tasting and hiking. The bathrooms in the main house don't have window coverings so it made some people a little nervous. Otherwise, great house! Very central location to everything. We would love to make this an annual reunion at this house if it's still available in the future."

  • Comfortable and quiet in a beautiful setting

"We really enjoyed the lovely house for a small family reunion/birthday celebration. It is spacious, quiet and comfortable. We are all cooks who appreciated having a well-equipped and functional kitchen. The outdoor spaces are also attractive, pleasant, and very useable. Carmel Valley is a much quieter, low-key option than the Monterey Peninsula. It’s also really pretty! There are restaurants, wine tasting rooms, a swimming pool and park, plus grocery stores, all within walking distance of the house, which is also conveniently located near Laguna Seca Raceway. We will definitely return."

  • We loved it!

"We selected this charming property for our family's "get out of town" Thanksgiving celebration, and were extremely satisfied! The house is spacious, peaceful, enchanting, and comfortable. We successfully prepared an elaborate non-traditional Thanksgiving meal in the very functional kitchen, and enjoyed a glass of wine and amazing views of the Carmel Valley from the rooftop patio. Susan was a very friendly and flexible host, and met us when we arrived at the house for a detailed tour. Two minor cautions about this property: 1) The house is built into the side of a very steep hill, and has a *lot* of steps: especially from the carport to the front door. There are four levels in the house (entryway, living/master, kitchen, bedrooms) with steps in between. If you have to make multiple trips to unload your car, prepare to be winded! 2) The house was built in the 1970s, and has a somewhat worn/lived-in feel. For us, this did not detract from the charm and beauty of the house, but you should not expect unblemished surfaces and flawless details. Overall, we found this to be an excellent choice for a special getaway, and have already begun discussing when to return!"

  • Beautiful house with great views!

"We recently stayed here for a Carmel Valley wedding and the house couldn't have been more perfect for our entourage. The kitchen was well equipped, the gardens were beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, and the views were stunning. Cindy and Mark were very helpful and hospitable. I would love to return some time!"
