  • Charming cottage at ocean' edge

"My wife, my daughter and her boy friend, my son and his wife and 2 young daughters, we all ventured for our first visit to Cayucos. Funky, delightful, relaxed, friendly city charmed us. But the winner was the beach cottage where we stayed. Clean, comfortable cottage is perched on a small hill with a very short stairway down to the beach. Stunning setting with lovely patio where we enjoyed meals as we watched dolphins swim by during the day, and marveled at glorious sunsets. You won't be disappointed if you are lucky enough to stay in this cottage and enjoy the beauty and casual ease of Cayucos. We will return!"

  • Location! Location! Location!

"This house is a dream come true for anyone who wants to bring their four legged children on vacation. After almost two years on the waiting list, we didn't hesitate when Judy and Ken contacted us with an opening. Can't begin to express how glad we did. Whale sightings everyday, beautiful sunsets, perfect beach (with a very loose leash law!), nature at it's best.....everything you would expect to see on our wonderful California Central Coastline. The house is perfectly maintained and well stocked. Judy and Ken (the cutest couple ever!) were very thorough on the walk thru, answered all of our questions and more. And yes, the sign on the oven is correct.....you just have to wait. Baked cranberry scones for breakfast on four mornings and they came out perfectly, once you wait, let the oven come to temp and bake! Counting the days until our next visit!!"

  • Beautiful stay in Cayucos

"We had a great stay in Dorothea's condo in "back in time" little town of Cayucos. Thanks to housekeeper Treva, the unit was very clean upon our arrival. Dorothea met us there as she sometimes stays in another part of the condo on weekends. She was so friendly and nice. We all "bonded" right away. We loved her little well-behaved dog Luna also. No problems inside or outside the house, and everything was stocked and functional. There were flowers and welcome gifts upon our arrival. However the best part of the condo is the location right on the ocean as we had a magnificent view whereby we saw seals and sea otters close by and beautiful sunsets almost every night. The weather was so nice and warm that often we picnicked right on the private patio.Great views also from the inside dining room, living room, and bedroom. There are many things to do in the area, such as Moonstone beach in Cambria which has several parks there along a wooden easily accessible Boardwalk, Hearst Castle and nearby seals, Big Sur Hwy one drive north to Ragged Point and onward. We would highly recommend for anyone to stay in this condo. You can't beat the views as they are spectacular. We would go back anytime just to see Dorothea also! She is a jewel! I want to return with my other sister in the future."

  • Wonderfully scenic and beautiful getaway

"I just spent a long weekend at Cottontail Creek Ranch with my large family to celebrate my 45th birthday and what an incredible experience at Cottontail Creek Ranch. There are so many little touches that Susan does that really made us feel incredibly welcome... from fresh flowers and fruit, to lots of little details throughout the home. It was a perfect setting for our family weekend. It's a stunning setting with the beautiful rolling hills as a backdrop, whether watching from the deck, the large circular fire pit at dusk, or on some breathtaking hikes along the ridges which we really enjoyed. And then there are many other activities on site that entertained everyone across ages... the pool, the tennis court, the bocce ball, the hot tub, ping pong, board games, etc. We stayed several days and intended to take some excursions and actually never left the property the whole time. The kitchen is fully stocked with necessarily equipment for gourmet meals which was also great. THANKS much Susan!"
