  • Quaint, cozy and comfortable.

"The space was perfect for my husband and I, our two and a half year old and 6 month old. It has all the comforts of home, including a dvd player, board & card games, a comfy couch and a big recliner/rocker (which was very useful for 2am feedings!) Beds were also comfy & rooms a nice size. The location is also great! Easy to get around town for groceries, etc, and centrally located for day excursions to Morro, Cayucos, Montana de Oro, or even Pismo! The homeowner is right next door, but gave us our space and was very friendly the few times we did see her. Having chickens and 2 horses on the property was a huge bonus for our little ones! Our only complaint would be that there is only "non microwave-safe" dishes, and very worn out pots and pans for cooking. Because of this, some of our groceries went unused and we ate out a few more times than we had planned! Other than that, the kitchen has good amenities- fridge, stove/oven, microwave, coffee pot, just don't try to cook any big meals! There's also a very good sized "yard"/fenced in patio area with seating, fire pit & BBQ that we look forward to enjoying next time we go over!"

  • Comfortable home in fantastic location

"I stayed in the bottom unit with my husband, 7 year old, and mother and it was perfect. There are two very large bedroom suites and the home was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the grounds were gorgeously landscaped, and the views were amazing. My son loved the sandy volleyball court (we didn't even go to the beach as much as we had planned as this was so much easier and the ocean was always in sight). We had trouble with hot water and the kitchen lacked silverware but none of this really mattered in light of all the other positives. And the owner was very responsive to the issue. (Until the last day, no one was renting the upper unit, so we also had the whole grounds to ourselves, which made it particularly private and special.) Would definitely recommend this property!"

"This was perfect for a family get together. Every amenity from games and toys to the strollers and fully stocked kitchen made us want for nothing. Highly recommended"

  • WONDERFUL STAY!

"We were very nervous as this was our first vacation rental ever. I did a LOT of searching online up and down the Central Coast and finally decided to take a chance with this one. I had some questions for the homeowner's daughter, Kye, and she responded very quickly so we decided to go for it. I am very happy we did! The house was the perfect size for me, my wife, our 16 month old son and our Golden Retriever, Mylie. It was important that our son have his own room (not an affordable option with a hotel) as he sleeps better - and so do we. And Mylie goes everywhere we go because she is practically human. The weekend before we were to arrive, Kye contacted us to let us know that there was a potential problem - the water would be shut off for a time our second day in because of an issue with another house on the street and said she would be willing to "make it right" and offered some alternatives. We were so impressed by this! I told her we weren't concerned about it... as it turned out, it wasn't a problem (water was only off for a couple of hours while we were out and about). Kye's concern over this tells me much about her and how the property is managed! That's very important... As it turns out, we arrived just after Kye, herself, had spent many days at the house painting, etc. How awesome is that?? And we were thrilled to be the first to stay after all the work she had done. We were very happy with what we saw when we arrived. Like most rentals I searched for in the area, this home is an older one and, as another reviewer pointed out, it "has some quirks". We found it to be a very charming home. A really important thing to us... it was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!! The carpet throughout had obviously been recently cleaned. Most of the interior has been freshly painted; looks like the outside of the house got a fresh coat, too... a very pretty blue. The bathrooms were SPOTLESS. That's a big deal to me. We've stayed in hotels where my white socks were filthy from dirty floors. Not in this house! The floors were so clean that we felt totally comfortable with our little boy rolling and playing around on them. I would NEVER feel good about that in any of the hotels we have ever stayed at! Kitchen is well-equipped and everything works great. Cable TV is great, wireless internet is fast and reliable. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS and lovely walks through Sweet Springs. LOVED IT! Quiet... can hear the ocean at night!"
