  • A return to Monterey /Pacific Grove

"This was our first time using VRBO and it exceeded our expectations. The biggest plus was a contained area for the pets (dogs) to use. A quiet street and easy access to PG & Monterey. Would stay here again when visiting the area if available."

  • Wish this was my home

"This Cottage was so lovely, warm, and inviting I wish it was my home. Just a block from all the shopping and restaurants of P.C. and a short walk to Lover's Point. Three nice size rooms and a big kitchen with a pine farm table, large TV with cable, internet and a real working fireplace. All the beds had comfy mattresses with new soft sheets, and lots of pillows. There were 4 of us ladies staying and we all had 4 bath towels apiece, lots of extra blankets to curl up in while gossiping in the front parlor along with a number of wine glasses to use without needing to keep them washed. I cooked in the vintage stove using the well appointed selection of cookware, pot holders, and dish towels. Really there was not a thing we needed that was not provided for the 5 night stay. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet at night. Parking was available in front of the cottage at all times. Nina was a delight to work with. She responded to my emails promptly and was very organized. I hope to be able to stay in this property next July making it an annual retreat. Thank you Nina! Susan"

  • Family home, relaxed atmosphere, 5 star service

"We had a lovely stay with our two teenage boys. This was the last stop on a three week road trip. The promotional photographs do not do this house justice... it's much bigger! The rooms were nicely furnished, spacious and very comfortable. The neighbourhood was lovely (very quiet), we walked to most places - the beach, aquarium and restaurants. The weather was interesting: don't be fooled by the overcast mornings, the sun is still very strong and you'll still need sun creams; it may also be overcast on the peninsular but very sunny in the town centre. The breezes off the bay can be cool. Dave made sure we had all the essentials - shampoos, conditioners, soaps, basic cooking ingredients like salts, herbs and spices. There was even a bottle of wine to welcome us 'home'. We only needed to shop for food everything else was in the house. The kitchen was well stocked, with a range of pots, pans, crockery and glasses. Only the wine glasses were in sufficient numbers to be a matching set, but we weren't worried! Dave provided us with bike hire information and a (really) lovely Mexican restaurant recommendation. Thank you Dave."

  • Beautiful Home, great for groups

"Our group consisted of 4 adults and 4 children aged 17-22. The house was able to accommodate our large group with room to spare. (And we never ran out of hot water!) Dan's home is beautiful and well appointed. It is conveniently located very close to the aquarium and 17 mile drive. We would highly recommend this home to others visiting Monterey."
