  • Beautiful Home

"We loved the Gingerbread House! It is a beautiful home. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is lovely. And it is a short walk to the ocean. Everything we needed was provided. The kitchen was well-stocked with all we needed for cooking meals. We were impressed with the quality of the linens and towels. The furniture and the accents were pretty, warm and inviting. We loved our first visit to Monterey and hope to come back again. Thank you for offering up this fantastic home. (One tip: Check the local calendar when booking your stay in Monterey. There was a marathon scheduled on the day we departed and we had to leave the property very early in the morning due to road closures.)"

  • Quiet, Convenient, Location, Location, Location!

"What a great place to stay! It's called an apartment but it feels more like a small home with a full-size kitchen. There's a ton of room and the layout is perfect. It's impeccably clean! Take a walk through the neighborhood, nearby shops and restaurants, or go down to the water. It's convenient to everything. Linda was there to greet me when I arrived. She's the ultimate host with great suggestions of where to eat, what to do, what to see in the area. You can sit outside at the front patio garden and enjoy a cup of coffee. The neighbors occasionally stroll by, each stopping to say "good morning". You definitely will feel right at home. Having off street parking is a huge bonus, but there is street parking available should you need it."

  • Amazing time in Monterey! Beautiful house full of character!

"We came to Monterey for a conference at the Hyatt with my colleague, partner and sister, and decided to stay a bit further away from the conference in the area of Pacific Grove. We were extremely happy with this choice! Not only did it allow us a super pleasant 20 minute bike ride every morning to the conference, but we got to experience this amazing old house! It's full of character and charm. We made a fire in the fireplace every night. Excellent kitchen with awesome amenities! Not very often you find a nice mixer and ample cooking supplies in rentals, perfect if you like to cook. Beautiful and quiet backyard, awesome grill space with a sink. Seriously, not enough words to describe how great this place is. Also, extremely easy check in and check out process. We liked it so much that my significant other and I immediately tried to book another trip back to this house with his parents around Christmas, but it was already booked up. Will definitely try to book this place again when back in Monterey!"

  • Will Definitely Return!

"We've stayed at a number of accommodations over the years in Monterey and Pacific Grove and this is one of the best. We will definitely hope to return in the future! There are a lot of reviews, so here are a few things that I thought you may be interested in knowing: pros: - very clean - excellent location - very close to downtown pacific grove, big playground for all age kids, lovers point beach park - supplies are included - you don't have to bring your own soaps, tin foil etc. - easy instructions and check out - excellent kitchen - very nice toys & kid accommodations - everything worked without issues (heating, wifi, plumbing etc) - nicely maintained property including bathrooms and outside areas items to be aware of: - like most homes in the area, it is an older home and floors and doors creak and it isn't very soundproof - so if you have a light napper you'll need to be fairly quiet. - Twin beds were comfortable beds, just to note they are creaky as well (the cover but also the frame) which probably won't bother children. - In the front bedroom (twin room) you can hear noise from the street when folks park in front of the house. If you park there it will cut down in the issue a bit. Overall this is a wonderful property and we had a very pleasant visit and will look forward to returning!"
