  • Perfect Get Away

"We had a great time at Pajaro Dunes and the Beach House! The house is just steps from a beautiful beach, great for adults and kids, very clean and comfortable. The dining area is a nice open spot with a beautiful view of the ocean surrounded by great decks. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. I highly recommend staying at this beach house!"

  • A great beach get-away

"This lovely townhouse proved to be a perfect get-away for our family. The constant uninterrupted view of the beach and waves was a nice change for these mountain dwellers. Beautiful sunsets. It is located close to many options for daily excursions, but we found that we preferred to stay on the beach all day for our last day instead of the plans we had for touring Santa Cruz. We had taken our own kite, but the two kites we found there were even better and more fun for young and old alike. We did pry ourselves away to go to the aquarium in Monterrey, which was impressive, but the highlight for all of us was kayaking on the near-by Elkhorn Slough. Lots of seals and sea otters in their natural environment. The younger adults found the beach and paths around the townhouses perfect for their daily jogging. The bedrooms were all very roomy, and the living area on the top floor was very comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. The nights were plenty cool enough, so we enjoyed the coziness of a nightly fire in the fireplace. Because it is off the beaten path one feels as if you have left the world behind, but the Easter Bunny was still able to find our granddaughter."

  • A little piece of Heaven...the beach/ocean views are unbelievable...we WILL be back!

"Sitting on the deck in the early morning hours, sipping hot coffee, wrapped up in a sweatshirt, listening to the waves, watching the fog roll piece of heaven! My husband, 6 year old twins and I stayed here for 2 glorious nights this week. Easy to access the 2nd floor condo: there are ramps and luggage carts from the parking lot. The condo was warm when we arrived, but cooled down within minutes when we opened the windows and the amazing sea breeze started to come in. The bathrooms were great! We actually only used the shower in the master. It was a dream to easily clean off my kids after a day playing on the beach. Side note: The toilet in the master bathroom did "run" for a while...oops!! We all quickly used the restroom before we went out to the beach and when we returned, the toilet was still running. The flapper hadn't closed all the way. So we just stuck around and jiggled the handle each time after that. We felt bad that we wasted so much water. Sorry about that. The kitchen has almost everything you could want! Items appear as if they have been well cared for and were clean. The only thing we couldn't find was a pizza cutter, but there are great knives and they worked great! We used the washer and dryer and it was great to have them available in the unit. If you stay in the master, you are lucky! You get to open the deck door and listen to waves all night long. Just don't leave clothes next to the door or else they will be damp in the morning....can you tell I don't get to the beach much to know these little tips? Haha! Such quick and easy access to the beach (there is even a "wash off" station with warm water!!). We enjoyed early morning shell hunts (sand dollars, even live ones, are everywhere!) and evening strolls. We only had one full day and we spent about 4 hours straight on the beach....just playing. We have wet suits for our kids, and so they can play in the water for hours. We built sand castles galore! We did notice there were some sand toys on the deck, but we had brought our own. If you have little kids....just remember to watch them with the faucets. The hot water heater is set high and if your kids are used to it being lower, they may not understand to not put the water on "hot". We just had one little incident of my daughter turning the faucet to the hot side and she got a little burn. Not a big deal and it was a great reminder for me to always check that when we rent places. Thank you, Lynn, for everything!"
