"Our group of 6 spent a week in this house and we had a great time. There was lots of room in the house for us and although it was too chilly to swim we enjoyed sitting out around the pool in the afternoon. The views from the front of the house were beautiful as well and it was soooo peaceful. You are a distance from downtown Paso Robles, but it was never a problem to get to town and the various golf courses and wineries in the area. After reading another review here, we hired The Prancing Chef to prepare a dinner for us and we were definitely not disappointed. It was FABULOUS!! The other thing we especially enjoyed was a visit to the Kiler Ridge olive oil farm. We did have a couple issues while at the house but they were promptly taken care of by Catherine, so we have only good things to say about our stay."

  • Naci at its best!

"I've been going to Naci for over 20 years and this was the best trip yet. What an incredible home with views for days. Great double decker dock with good lakeside access, just a short drive down a dirt road from the home. A little bumpy in spots, but well worth it considering the payoff when you get down to the lake. Located inside the 5mph zone in Las Tablas, we enjoyed boating, swimming, paddle boarding and good times with friends and family for an entire week. And once the day came to an end, it was a pleasure to return to this huge and accommodating home to enjoy the views and sunsets night after night. We had 4 families with 8 adults and 8 children, and there was plenty of room for all. Come fully provisioned for your stay, as the nearest store is 2 hours roundtrip and the marina store offers limited supplies. Just as well, as once you get there you won't want to leave. Good thing is that there is a commercial ice maker in the garage to keep your coolers and cocktails cold day in and day out. The owners (#boedogs) are very accommodating and the experience from reservation, to arrival, to departure was a breeze. Already planning our next trip for next year and looking forward to many more return visits in the future."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this house 2 or 3 times before. It works well for our family visiting relatives in Paso Robles. We don't have to cram into their smaller house or a hotel room, and we don't have to eat out. The location near downtown, and Vine St for Xmas is great. I'm sure we will visit again."

  • Exceeded our expectations. Beautifully appointed. The views surpass description. Breathtaking.

"We stayed at Casa de Vina to attend a wedding in Paso Robles with our two daughters and their husbands. It was a very memorable stay. Everyone had a wonderful time, spectacular. The house is furnished in a perfect combination of comfortable but beautiful furniture. It is not a museum where you afraid to put feet up at the end of the day. The attention to detail stands out. A handwritten note with special instructions, fresh flowers distributed through the house, a bottle of wine, .... Well stocked kitchen, able to handle dinners for 6 with ease. Bread was baked. Breakfasts and dinners served. And, as expected, wine glasses galore. They got used. And then, you step to the windows, or really, are drawn to the windows. A 360 degree view of vineyards, sweeping down the hill in front and off on both sides. High quality grapes as well, old vines. The position of the house on the hill lets you get a breeze most of the time, and open the windows at night. It is a quiet, lovely location, quite far uphill from a little used road. Sitting on the patio overlooking the vineyards, the fields across the way and the hills and Coastal range in the distance, it was a perfect place to catch up as a family. Magnificent sunsets. You are embraced by nature, with hummingbirds, and finches flitting around the house during the day, and even an owl, if you are lucky enough to see her. Our rental car parked in the driveway next to the Zin vines was hit by occasional bird poop that was deep deep purple. These birds have it good. Sean called to let us know if landscapers were coming to mow, and in many ways Terrie, John and Sean clearly showed us that they cared to make our stay comfortable and fun. From this locale we visited two California Missions, (San Luis Obispo and San Miguel Arcangelo), went to Paso Robles (easily, for groceries, dinners), and to the coast. It is a short drive for urbanites, through magnificent country. And it is wine country. Everywhere around. We all, to a person, recommend this house for a stay like this. We hope to return sometime. Thank you very much, Walter family."
