  • Great family getaway!

"Our family of 4 loved our stay in Santa Cruz! Lori was a wonderful host and answered all my questions leading up to the trip. The house was large and spacious with beautiful views of the beach. Our children especially loved the bunk beds and closet full of toys. Lori had beach towels, chairs and toys available which really saved on space in our car. Starbucks and Aloha Grill are a block away and the beach is a 5 min walk. We will be staying again for sure!"

  • Exceeded every expectation!

"Choosing a property based on photos, owner description, and reviews is always a risk...and we couldn't have been happier with the payoff with the bungalow on Lighthouse. From the initial contact with Alan and Brit, to very fair pricing, to the home being ready for our arrival after an 11 hour drive with two teens, our family's experience was perfect. The house is beautiful and retro-funky, comfortable, exceedingly well-appointed, and the location was absolutely perfect (minutes to grocery, restaurants, kayaking, the university, and Mission...and an easy walk to the Boardwalk, beach, and amazing cliff walk trail). Every detail made our stay 5-star: the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfy, the linens are quality, the washer and dryer are virtually new, you get off-street parking (which is huge), and the landscaping shows how much the owners care about the property...you feel at home, not like a "rental." Our kids rode the bikes provided, we grilled, there's DirectTV, a Mac computer in the master bedroom to help plan activities and get info about the house... I could go on. Cons? Honestly, none...maybe having one bathroom if you don't want to share. The bottom line is we weren't 5 minutes out of Santa Cruz before we started discussing retuning and staying at the bungalow."

  • Quiet, well-appointed ranch with ocean view

"My husband and I came in totally fried from Silicon Valley and the Dragonfly Ranch was just what the doctor ordered. It's cozy but with a large open plan kitchen and living room plus loads of patio space and a swim spa. The view of the Pacific is the icing on the cake. We found our gracious host to be very accommodating even though this was a last-minute trip for us. And let's not forget that the ranch in the middle of wine country ;) We hope to return in the future."
