  • Lovely secluded home

"My family stayed here for our daughters wedding at Santa margarita ranch. Absolutely beautiful. Owners were very flexible and accommodating. Very cozy beds, 3 bathrooms and fully stocked kitchen allowed us to entertain family after wedding. Beautifully furnished. Felt like a bed and breakfast. Warm and inviting."

  • Lovely ranch-like experience

"We have rented a number of houses over the new year's holiday and this one pops right to the top of the list! Such a beautiful and lovely setting in a small valley off the lovely Edna Valley just outside San Luis Obispo, this house is a wonderful escape for a family or group of friends. The grounds are beyond beautiful, walking along the road is peaceful and serene -- full of woods, a creek, amazing birds and the occasional cow or horse nearby. The house is exceptional, it has the feeling of a California ranch house but either originally was or has been updated into a luxurious, well-equipped vacation home. The kitchen is large enough for everyone to chip in, there's a huge dining room table (plus options outside in warm weather), a lovely fireplace and sitting area, but lots to do -- besides walking, there is pool, ping pong, a hot tub out back and my favorite, that huge porch on the front of the house. We enjoyed sitting out there during the day or evening to enjoy the view, the birds and the peacefulness of the place. The house is well-equipped. The beds, sheets and towels are excellent quality. The internet is slow, but that's a trade-off for the valley! It's only about 10 minutes from all you need in SLO, but feels so much more remote. Plenty of wineries, yoga classes, etc. nearby. There are also the dunes that our group explored and enjoyed (a bit farther drive), as well as the local restaurants. We are already planning a visit back this summer! Enjoy!"

  • Comfy

"Very pretty setting. Small but efficient and comfortable "home." Friendly and helpful hosts. Ideal for one person for an extended stay, plenty comfortable for two for a short stay."

  • Family Reunion

"I was looking for a 6 bedroom home for our cousin reunion in a central California location. This beautiful home certainly met that and more. The booking was very easy and Daniel was able to quickly respond and answer any questions. Michiko was on site to explain everything about the house, Jacuzzi and sauna. The house was very well appointed with every thing that we needed and more. I have stayed at some VRBO's where the minimum is provided and this was a welcome change. We especially liked the long table on the veranda that easily accommodated everyone for meals. I would highly recommend this home for a large group. There is space for everyone."
