  • The Perfect Escape

"We stayed in the cottage at this ranch for an anniversary getaway and it was everything we were looking for and more! The cottage is so cute and quaint with a ton of natural light and it's own little fenced in yard on an incredible property. It was unreal! It's nothing but views of rolling hills and open fields and vineyards. The kitchen is small but fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay, and communication with the host was easy when needed. It felt like a wonderful escape, but was still so close to stores and bars in town if we needed anything. It's right near a bunch of wine tasting as well! I very highly recommend this spot for any little vacation!"

  • Calm and Comfy

"The property is surrounded by scenic beauty that takes you aback. It is definitely a perfect getaway if all you want to experience is calm and comfort. Kids loved the place and were so excited to run around the property. House was very clean, spacious enough and the two bedrooms had comfortable beds. We traveled from LA to ghere and the drive was pretty exciting to this place. If you are lucky enough you could do some wild life spotting too .. We just happened to see a Coyote. Two adorable pets Penny and Dotty on the property who are excited on your arrival and the owner said I m gonna hold them inside or they would be upset to see you leave :/ .. We reached the property around 4pm relaxed for a while and enjoyed the charcoal bbq with Berenice . We left to Hearst castle the next day , an hour drive from there and the elephant seal situated closely to Hearst castle. End of our trip and kids were already not happy about leaving the place. Berenice was very friendly and overall experience was very satisfying."

  • Wonderfully scenic and beautiful getaway

"I just spent a long weekend at Cottontail Creek Ranch with my large family to celebrate my 45th birthday and what an incredible experience at Cottontail Creek Ranch. There are so many little touches that Susan does that really made us feel incredibly welcome... from fresh flowers and fruit, to lots of little details throughout the home. It was a perfect setting for our family weekend. It's a stunning setting with the beautiful rolling hills as a backdrop, whether watching from the deck, the large circular fire pit at dusk, or on some breathtaking hikes along the ridges which we really enjoyed. And then there are many other activities on site that entertained everyone across ages... the pool, the tennis court, the bocce ball, the hot tub, ping pong, board games, etc. We stayed several days and intended to take some excursions and actually never left the property the whole time. The kitchen is fully stocked with necessarily equipment for gourmet meals which was also great. THANKS much Susan!"

  • Wonderful Place for a Birthday Surprise!

"My family rented this lovely home to surprise our Cal Poly student for her birthday. It was the perfect location - close to campus, but yet still rural enough to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The home was very clean and comfortable - plenty of space for the 8 of us, plus our dog. We saw deer and wild turkeys on the hillside in the afternoon and the large stone fireplace in the living room was perfect on the cold windy evenings. The owners made sure we had everything we needed and even set up the fireplace before our arrival so all we had to do was light the match. I believe there is a trail that connects the ranch to the cal poly campus near architecture graveyard, but we didn't get a chance to explore that this time. I highly recommend this vacation home especially for families with students at Cal Poly!"
