  • Family Reunion

"I was looking for a 6 bedroom home for our cousin reunion in a central California location. This beautiful home certainly met that and more. The booking was very easy and Daniel was able to quickly respond and answer any questions. Michiko was on site to explain everything about the house, Jacuzzi and sauna. The house was very well appointed with every thing that we needed and more. I have stayed at some VRBO's where the minimum is provided and this was a welcome change. We especially liked the long table on the veranda that easily accommodated everyone for meals. I would highly recommend this home for a large group. There is space for everyone."

  • Stunning home, hospitable owners, EXCELLENT CHOICE!!!

"My boyfriend and I cannot gush enough over this property. Besides the beautiful scenic view, relaxing pool atmosphere, and well appointed villa, the warm hospitality of Debbie and Dave cannot be beat. They met us when we arrived, were accessible by phone and text, and were well prepared for any guest amenities we needed (the propane tank ran out and they had a second right on hand). Debbie even came out offering to peel veggies for our poolside bbq Labor Day Wknd dinner and offered us fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies while we relaxed in the jacuzzi with wine after dinner. I have traveled to many 5 star hotels nationally and abroad and I have to say nothing beats this experience. This was exactly what I was looking for for a getaway long weekend. I was even able to write a few articles poolside with the peaceful birds chirping and strong wifi! We had a delightful time in downtown SLO, wine tasting at Wolff and Eden Valley, and took in mineral tub time and relaxing spa massages at Sycamore Springs- all less than 15 min away. San Jose is a short drive from this magical location, we will definitely be back. I promise, you will wake up every day refreshed, replenished, and very well taken care of. Debbie and Dave, we will definitely be back, I have your number! Dan & Dr Sheila Loanzon"

  • Fabulous Family Friendly Getaway

"My family recently had the opportunity to stay at this listing for an extended period of time. Due to an unexpected water leak in our own residence, we were forced to find a property that would not only accommodate a family of 4 but also allow for our 3 dogs to stay as well. The owners, Jim and Sharon, were kind enough to open their house up to us and were willing to work with our unknown estimated construction end dates. Our original request to stay for a 60 day period of time ended up being just short of 4 months. Jim and Sharon were kind enough to allow such flexibility and were extremely understanding of our circumstances. I cannot say enough good things about not only the house but all it had to offer as well. The lap pool, Jacuzzi, pool table and basketball hoop were just a few of the highlights of this house. We were able to spend many nights bbq'ing in the lovely and serene brick patio area. We were also able to have and prepare a lovely Thanksgiving meal in the very well stocked kitchen equipped with every pot, pan and serving dish possible. Located directly across the street is one of the trailheads for Madonna Mountain as well. There is an awesome deli just around the block and desirable downtown SLO is just a short 5 minute walk away. Our family is very thankful for the time we were able to spend at this listing. We would definitely stay here again but hopefully under different circumstances and would highly recommend this listing to others. Jim and Sharon are wonderful and caring people and we can't thank them enough for everything they did for us and for making our stay so enjoyable given the situation."

  • 40th Birthday Bash

"You can't go wrong with the Ernie Ball house for either a quiet weekend alone, family gathering or ?? We used it for a couple purposes - party and quiet day alone. My husband rented this property to hold my surprise 40th birthday celebration. It is the perfect house for a gathering! The open floor plan of the kitchen/dining/living area made it easy to entertain. Guests have space to mingle altogether and can find quiet areas away from the group to catch up in private conversation. We hired a pizza oven to cater and it pulled up just outside the patio near the garage which is a fantastic catering area. It was raining cats and dogs the night of the party. The house has a magnificent porch area with ample seating so our guests could enjoy the outdoors even in the rain. The road is 'dirt' heading up to the house but it's a fine redrock road. Through the severe rains we had it was easily passable with all guests' cars. We had worried a bit about that but it turned out not to be an issue at all. Once our guests left we got to enjoy the hot tub outside amongst the stars when the rain cleared. Not a light from another house around. The perfect ending to a perfect night! We brought our children out the next day to enjoy the hot tub and the other family friendly aspects of the property. There is a pool table upstairs that they enjoyed very much, along with the neat rock shower in the master bathroom after they played in the hot tub. On a sunnier, drier day I could envision us all taking a walk up or down the road and enjoying the creek and sycamore trees! The property is within very quick distance to both downtown San Luis Obispo and many wineries. We don't like to stay in cities and this house is the perfect compromise between a country vacation and an adventure in a new town. You are in town in 5 minutes and when you are at the house you can forget there's even a town nearby. You can't go wrong staying here! We loved it!"
