"My wife and two sons recently stayed here for a week at Christmas. As noted in other reviews, it is a stones throw from the beach and you can see the ocean from the west side windows. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Main Street in Carp. The unit was clean and well stocked, including robes and ample towels. Beds were comfortable. The metal staircase feels a bit wobbly and makes a noise when you walk up or down. The rental company was responsive, though did not agree to our request to check in two hours early. There is a very small Weber grill on the patio, though other units have larger grills."

  • Wonderful place to stay!

"My husband and I had the joy of staying at this lovely guest house in Carpenteria. It was incredibly quiet, comfy and beautiful. Super comfy bed, slept so well. We enjoyed walking around the gardens with all the fruit trees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Chris gave us wonderful recommendations of places to eat and hike. Her doggies are sweet and gentle. It is a short drive or bike ride to town and the beach but far enough from the highway and town to be a true get away. Highly recommend this little slice of heaven."

  • Incredible beachfront paradise

"This is my second stay in this wonderful Carpinteria retreat. I love waking up to the sounds of the waves and having coffee overlooking the Pacific, the Channel islands and the dolphins cruising by in the surf. Always spend much of the day hhanging out on the private beach deck and quiet, sandy beach below. Afternoon short walks into town are awesome - check out Island Brewery. The garage is packed with water sports gear - kayaks, surfboards and paddleboards. Sunsets are amazing and there is a fire pit on the beach deck."
