  • 44 Solimar Sands

"My wife and two sons recently stayed here for a week at Christmas. As noted in other reviews, it is a stones throw from the beach and you can see the ocean from the west side windows. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Main Street in Carp. The unit was clean and well stocked, including robes and ample towels. Beds were comfortable. The metal staircase feels a bit wobbly and makes a noise when you walk up or down. The rental company was responsive, though did not agree to our request to check in two hours early. There is a very small Weber grill on the patio, though other units have larger grills."

  • Annual extended family getaway weekend

"This was the first time I stayed at Kat's home, and it' won't be the last. My family and I LOVED her place. It is a perfect size for a small family. It's perfectly decorated and all the furniture and decor is beautiful. The attention to detail is excellent. Everything from providing all that we needed for a comfortable stay, to the cute basket outside with tar remover and cotton pads neatly packed in a zip lock bag. Bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrella and a wagon is also provided for recreational pleasure. Providing Apple TV and a wireless speaker was also an added bonus. Thanks for the wonderful stay, and we'll be back again. p.s. Can we buy your place as is? We loved it THAT much!! :)"

  • September Indian Summer Magic in Carpinteria!

"My wife an I had a fantastic week in a surfers themed 2 bedroom condo in Carpinteria. Both the town and the beach were a short walk away. We also enjoyed the wonderful pools and hot tub. The condo was fully stocked with everything one would need-----towels, beach chairs, boogie boards. The kitchen was great if one chose to eat in but the town itself offered so much in the way of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Esau's was our favorite for breakfast. Dinner at Gianfrancos was awesome. "The Spot" was great for lunch! Our personal favorite was sitting on the outside patio that features a bar type table that has great views of the ocean as well as the salt marsh across the street. It is a great spot for a glass of wine with crackers and cheese as you watch the sun dip into the Pacific! Also, I almost forgot to mention the bicycles that are available to use----my fave was the beach cruiser with the big basket in the front------great for cruising the streets down near the beach!
