  • Beautiful view, exceptional host, cozy home, and great location

"Our group just got back from the weekend stay at MWCVE. We stayed from 08/13/16-08/15/16. The private road to the house is beautiful. I met Lynda and she was exactly how I imagined her: full of energy, super friendly, nice and unforgettable. She made me feel like I were her best friend for years even though we just met for few minutes. If all hosts were like her, I would rent vacation home everywhere I go. Next is the home. It is a cozy, yet spacious home, all rooms are big, especially the master bedrooms, easily to accommodate more than 12. It is on top of the hill, all by itself, with gorgeous view, huge living room and dining room, functional kitchen, fire pit area, front porch (where we could see the moon and stars at night). The area is very safe and remote. We did the walk in the morning and got a great exercise. The hill has high slope which makes the house so special and away from the surrounding neighbors. Walking up the slop gave us the buns exercise we needed. Finally is the location. I am so glad I made the decision to stay in this home and in Buellton, instead of Solvang or Santa Barbara. From the house, it is about 5 minutes drive to Figueroa Mountain brewing company where we did the beer tasting, and the Ostrich farm where we met and fed the ostriches. Chumash casino is about 15 minutes drive away for us to try our lucks. Solvang downtown is about 10 minutes drive away. Our wine tasting tour at Rideau is about 20 minutes away. We had enough things to do for two days, not so much driving around and don't get bored. The only thing I regret is that we didn't stay longer. With just one more day, we could drive to Santa Barbara for a day out because it is only 40 minutes drive. One more note about the weather. Although the weekend we stayed was in summer and it was triple digits, it sure didn't feel like that here. The breeze and the winds when the sun is down will force you to go out with a jacket. So summer is the best time to come here. Winter will be very chili for Southern CA people like me. Many thanks to Lynda for having this place for vacationers like us. I hope one day I can come back here and meet you again. Love, Regina and the gang."

  • WONDERFUL!

"WONDERFUL! Close to the beach, great restaurants, a grocery store and downtown--a short walk or drive to all of the many attractions and activities of Santa Barbara. This is the perfect place for a restful stay in the middle of a charming neighborhood. The unit was clean, nicely maintained and well appointed with everything you could need for your visit. I came for a month, liked it so much I ended up staying four months!"
