  • Great getaway for 2 couples and pooches!

"We loved our stay at The Country Ranch House. It was a perfect place to celebrate a BIG Birthday. From the time we walked in and were welcomed by music playing in the living room to the time we left, we felt welcomed and pampered. The house is wonderfully decorated and comfortable with thoughtful touches. If we had not had a desire to explore the area, we would have been happy just relaxing at the house. The horses on the property added even more specialness to our stay. We enjoyed looking out and seeing Dakota every day. Los Olivos, Solvang and Santa Barbara are all close by and offer plenty of activities, wine tasting for anyone staying here. Thank you Marcia and Brian. You are wonderful hosts."

  • Awesome house!

"The pictures are great, but the house is even better! Once we saw it we tried to make sure we spent some additional time there so we could enjoy the house. It is so beautiful and comfortable. I would stay again in a heartbeat."

  • Great Location for Santa Ynez Wine Country Stay

"We are frequent visitors to this area, usually making a day trip because we live only a county away, but this time we were meeting some friends and family to attend the Buttonwood Crawfish Boil. We found the neighborhood quiet, the home to be very clean, beds comfy, great water pressure (tho our guests said the shower head was situated a bit low in the shared bath), nice little outside area to sit in. Location very handy, and yes, walkable to some nearby eateries and such. Yes, there is a microwave now, wi-fi works fine. We dined at Hitching Post (expensive but good) and picnicked at Rusack, walked around charming Los Olivos. We recommend you visit Buttonwood, the first wine club we ever joined many moons ago. Scott was helpful and responsive to questions. The only thing I would suggest, that is just a nice touch at other places we have stayed, is to add a little treat awaiting guests, such as a bottle of wine, or a pass for a complimentary tasting somewhere, or cookies or such. But we bring and buy our own wine, belong to a ton of clubs in the area, and our waistlines don't really need the cookies, so we would most happily return to this lovely spot. We forgot to write in the book, Scott, sorry! But thank you for making your place available for a most enjoyable get-away!"

  • Fantastic

"We had 4 couples for the weekend and couldn't be happier. The house was exactly as described. Excellent location for biking, wineries, restaurants.. everything. This is a place we'd definitely rent again in the future."
