  • This is the place!

"We are three professional couples in our mid-fifties who go on a "wine weekend" trip somewhere in CA each year, so we have visited many beautiful places and stayed in some lovely homes, but this one was the best. The house is set in a wonderful pastoral neighborhood amid the vineyards, and it's Tuscan-style architecture and grounds were so beautiful we didn't want to leave it. The common spaces in the house were not only beautiful but were very large and open, which was great for us because we had plenty of room to lay out all of our yoga mats for our daily workouts. The kitchen/great room offered plenty of space for us all to cook together, and the kitchen was well stocked so we were able to make some great meals. The views from the house are spectacular, and we really enjoyed the patio, fire pit, and spa. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all lovely, but my husband and I were particularly lucky - this year we got the master. And what a master it is. It was an embarrassment of riches. We particularly loved the steam shower, and never even got around to using the sauna, the jetted tub, or the fireplace. As for surroundings, the El Rancho Market is nearby and offered an unbelievably good selection of produce, meats and groceries for our use. The town of Solvang is just 15 or 20 minutes away, and it is charming, and at the edge of Solvang you will find the Mission Santa Ines - very historic. We visited several wineries, some just down the road from the house, and tasted some wonderful pinots, chardonnays and sauvignon blancs. We all agreed that this house is even more beautiful than we were expecting - the pictures online don't do it full justice. If you want a very high-end feel, for a really special getaway, this is the place!"

  • Perfect vacation home!

"Kris's home was beautiful and comfortable. We loved the views and our kids enjoyed being able to play freely in the back yard. The home had everything we needed and more. We used the bikes to ride down to the winery. We loved how quiet and private it felt. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Clean, comfortable, well-equipped country guesthouse centrally located in Santa Ynez Valley

"My family of 3 children, my husband and our dog enjoyed a 4 day spring vacation at this lovely home. We were greeted by the owner, Jesse, who happily shared information about the area, gave recommendations of places to visit, the history of the area, and current area culture. Our kids enjoyed feeding the goats, playing on the tree swings, petting the barn cats, driving the tractor with Jesse, running around the open area, playing table games in the garage, and buying fresh produce from the organic farmstand just down the street. My husband and I enjoyed our kids being occupied by good old fashion fun, relaxing in the hammock, the evening sounds of the frogs, and the central location so we could bike everywhere. The house was clean, airy and light, with a well-equipped kitchen for preparing our meals. We would do it all again in a heartbeat!"
