  • Great house and a very helpful owner.

"We had a great experience during our stay. The house was perfectly set up to accommodate our big group. There was no hassle in checking in or out of the house. The owner is quick with his response and made sure we had a good time. There are supermarkets and good restaurants nearby in case you wanna go out for dinner. The proximity to Monterey's scenic views only enhances the charm of this place. Overall, a perfect experience!"

  • We found the house very pleasant, comfortable, and spacious

"Our family get-away to Monterey was made easy staying at this property. We enjoyed and appreciated the well supplied and comfortable house for cooking and relaxing, while exploring the area's beautiful beaches, trails, and Aquarium. The owners graciously supplied a few extras in the kitchen, such as snacks and beverages and were very accommodating to our requests. We would definitely stay here again. The reason for four stars instead of five was the scented air fresheners in every room. The perfumed air made it unpleasant for those of us with allergies, and the rest did not appreciate the rather strong scents. Once we moved the fresheners to the garage and opened the windows, we were able to fully enjoy the house."

  • Comfortable and quiet in a beautiful setting

"We really enjoyed the lovely house for a small family reunion/birthday celebration. It is spacious, quiet and comfortable. We are all cooks who appreciated having a well-equipped and functional kitchen. The outdoor spaces are also attractive, pleasant, and very useable. Carmel Valley is a much quieter, low-key option than the Monterey Peninsula. It’s also really pretty! There are restaurants, wine tasting rooms, a swimming pool and park, plus grocery stores, all within walking distance of the house, which is also conveniently located near Laguna Seca Raceway. We will definitely return."

  • The PERFECT Romantic Getaway!

"If you want to melt your wife or girlfriend's heart, rent this property! Impeccably decorated in tasteful cottage chic and spotlessly clean, this small property is the perfect honeymoon cottage or romantic getaway. My wife's constant refrain, upon the entering the home, was, "Oh my god, how cute!" A great feature of this place is the stone (gas) fireplace. It frames the main living area and it was so relaxing to sit on the very comfortable Pottery Barn style leather couch opposite the fire. Alisa, the hostess, was very easy to work on the booking with but she is also so very thoughtful. She even took the time to provide some grapes, cheese, and snacks for our arrival. This cottage is on the edge of downtown Pacific Grove but within easy walking distance of the ocean. Also, it was only about a 15-20 minute walk to Cannery Row. It has a nicely landscaped and appealing exterior. As I wrote, the place was spotlessly clean. Even though we didn't cook in the house, I noticed all of the essentials for cooking are provided. The bed was super comfortable. This is not a large property so it's probably best for a couple as opposed to a family. I cannot say enough about the merits of this property and the graciousness of Alisa, the owner. A great experience! We hope to stay here again."
