  • Wow - what a tremendous place

"We had a GREAT time at this place. It's nestled near the top of the hills overlooking Ventura. Other reviews rave about the views and they don't disappoint! Rooftop terrace with BBQ and great furniture make it an ideal place to hang out, but so is the deck on the first level or the family room area! Master bedroom is first class - massive room, bathtub and shower that made me think of a 5 star hotel. In addition a large walk-in closet and overall top shelf appearance. We we there with three teenagers and the two girls stayed in the twin and the boy in his own room - all had their own bathrooms which is a plus. Kitchen was set for a gourmet chef and since we like to cook we used the Viking range and ample space to create some fun meals! Highly recommend this place as a great So-Cal getaway."

  • Perfect location

"Highly recommend this place! We had a fantastic girls weekend with surfing, yoga and wine tasting and this place was perfect. It is close to Santa Barbara, Downtown Ventura and Ojai for some additional places to visit and eat if you don't want to be at the beach the whole time."

  • Don & Anita

"Thank you for another wonderful experience. This place is nothing short of fabulous. If I could put the experience in a bottle and sell it, I would be rich!!! My parents had a "Beach Cottage" here when I grew up and so I understand what it is like. The previous comment is really out to lunch. The temperature in Ventura is usually 75 degrees year around. It is considered hot here when it is in the 80's and having a sweatshirt for the evenings in the summer is common. Winters are also very mild but there was a cold wave during January so they probably had to deal with an unusual situation. Screens on the windows are nice, but at the beach they oxidize really fast as does most things and you would be changing them often. The salt water tears things up. The house was built a while ago and not much has been done to update, but everything is clean and the owners are easy to work with. It's all about the location. Surfer's out front, Dolphins and sea lions swim by, and you can't get any closer to the water. At high tide I can fish from the front porch, and at low tide we hunt for tide pool animals. The kids love it. If you have high blood pressure here, you are really sick! Anyway, thanks for letting us use your little piece of paradise and we hope to be back soon. :-)"

  • Spectacular and Perfect for Family Gathering!!

"I rented this home as a surprise for my wife so we could celebrate her birthday with our family and grandchildren. Next to her family the beach is her next joy in life. This home met all expectations and more. We have spent many vacations in Hawaii and the setting of this house is as special as a stay in Hawaii. You have spectacular views and with the doors open you can hear the waves breaking on the beach! You are steps from the beach which is very private. The bedrooms are large and the beds very comfortable and open to a large deck. The kitchen is stocked with all your needs and the bathrooms are extremely large. Nancy was very accommodating and the house is well decorated and very clean. Our children have decided this will need to be an annual event and we are all looking forward to another stay in this fabulous house and beach!!!"
