  • Amazing house right on the beach

"The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean. It's in a wonderful location at Faria Beach with a huge deck that has direct access to the sand. We stayed there for a little over two weeks and had a wonderful time. The master bedroom upstairs overlooks the ocean and you sleep at night with the sound of the ocean. The house has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. The next door neighbors are a wonderful couple that own a farm nearby and they frequently brought us fresh produce from the farm. I would highly recommend this house and cant wait until we go back there again."

  • Lovely house in a fun neighborhood

"Our family of 5 stayed in this house over Thanksgiving. The home and landscaping look like a photo shoot from Sunset Magazine. The pictures on the VRBO site are accurate. The owners clearly have an appreciation for fabrics - the window coverings, furniture and bed linens are all top notch. We loved the light that came in from all the windows, and that you could open them and let the breeze come through. It's hard not to feel relaxed in this home. Potential renters might want to know that the master bedroom is across the house and down a small flight of stairs from the rest of the house and the other two bedrooms. There is also an abundance of white and a lot of decor items that make the house so nice for adults to be around, but mean that it might not be ideal for small children or messy people. The owners put out furniture covers and baskets for shoes, which helped us keep the house clean. It is their primary residence, and it really does feel more like a home than a vacation rental. We walked to the downtown area (about 15 minutes) which has some great restaurants and fun shops. The Mission and City Hall are there too. We hiked from the house up through the botanical gardens and to the cross on the hill. We also walked off the turkey dinner going to the pier and along the beach. My daughters found ample Black Friday shopping in Camarillo. My husband golfed at two different courses within a 15 minute drive. We played tennis at the High School courts which are within walking distance as well. The Vons is about a mile or two away for groceries. The neighborhood has many historical houses, interesting architecture, and friendly neighbors. There was also a nice breakfast place just down the hill (Traveler's I think). We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return."
