  • Amazing Stay in Aptos!

"We had a wonderful stay at the Ocean View house in Aptos. The home is located one block from the beach with view of the famous "Cement Boat" and has all the charm of a beach getaway. Each night, my wife and I would sit on the deck and watch the sun set over Seacliff Beach. The kitchen is well set up with cooking tools and all we needed for making family dinners. We used the gas grill on the back porch most nights and thought that was a nice touch. The main living is very comfortable and well set up - plus the Direct TV and gas fireplace were used each night as we rested from full days at the beach. Two bedrooms - one with a double / single bunkbed for the kids and the other with a Queen fit our family of three perfectly. The house is located in the perfect location - quite, clean neighborhood and a three minute walk to Aptos / Seacliff Beach. There is a deli, small grocery, pizza, Mexican and and coffee shop all within 5 minutes walk. We highly recommend the house for people looking for an affordable, beach getaway in Aptos. Cricket (owner) was very responsive and great to work with!"

  • Fun filled getaway

"We had a fantastic time at the Windmill House. The accommodations are very unique and fun. The units were clean and tidy. The paddle boats and kayak were a huge hit with the kids, as well was the ping pong table and putting green. The patio is beautiful and the piped in music was a pleasant surprise. The location and walkability into Capitola was a 10. The driveway easily fits 2 cars, maybe 3. The outdoor seating was beautiful and really festive. The only downside to the units was the fact that the Silo house bedrooms are not connected internally to the kitchen, bath, main unit and require one to go outdoors to access the main portion of the unit."

  • Absolute tranquility

"I thought long and hard about whether or not I should leave this review. Why?? Because I wanted to keep this gem all to myself. However, that wouldn't be fair to the owner and host who has done a remarkable job creating one of the best hideaways my husband and I have ever experienced. There are very few places in this world where you can actually just be with each other in nature with complete privacy. Richard has done an amazing job with this place. All our needs were met and the accomodations were steller. We woke to birds singing, whales breaching and the creek below. We hiked, lay in the sun, fed the chickens, drank wine with a backdrop of one of the best views I have seen since our last Kauai trip. The best was the double person tub that overlooked the ocean and the trees. We took bubble baths with our wine every night. My only complaint was that we eventually had to say goodbye and hit the asphalt jungle far too soon. Richard was incredibly kind. He brought us fresh eggs, apricots and even beer. His hiking trails are extremely well marked and the wading pools and mini waterfalls were incredible. It was simply one of the most memorable vacations we have ever had. We highly recommend this paradise and will go back again and again."

  • Best Vacation Ever!

"The condo is excellently designed in a modern beach theme. The tile flooring in the living room, kitchen and bathroom is amazing. The kitchen was complete with full amenities. The queen bed and pillows were very comfortable. My son loved the bunk beds. The shower was nice and large. The living room couch was perfect to lounge on after a day in the sun. At night we enjoyed watching tv in that room. The only items we needed to bring were bed linens, towels, paper products, charcoal, and our food. The property is located as the second house on the front row of the Venetian strip. For a family with young children, this is perfect. You can sit in the kitchen or living room and let the kids out to play on the beach. You are seriously 2 steps away from the sand! We barbecued one night on the charcoal grill. The walk to the village where all the shops and restaurants are took 3 minutes. Just walk up the sidewalk and over the bridge. My family of 3 hope to rent this condo again in the future. The owner is really nice and everything was as said in the description. We did some day trips such as Monterey Bay Aquarium, tide pools at Natural Bridges State Beach, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. All of those sites were within 20-30 minute drive. My son said it was the best vacation ever!"
