  • Perfect location - everything you need for a great weekend

"Can't beat the location -right in the heart of Pacific Grove. Walkable to Lover's Point and right off Lighthouse. Cute little vintage cottage that is big enough for extended family with everyone getting enough private space. Beds are so comfortable and it is quiet in spite of being next door to a restaurant. Kitchen is well stocked with plates, pans, etc. Even have a laundry on site although we didn't use it. WiFi included and very good. It's like having your own vacation home. Although there was a hiccup at the beginning (key wasn't in the lockbox), it was resolved within an hour. I can't wait to come again and would recommend it to anyone who loves old Pacific Grove."

  • perfect spot for a family get together

"We rented the house along with the cabins on Monastary beach for a family get together for 20. We found the arrangement perfect. My one concern about the house was the remote location. It is rather remote, but we found that to be a plus not a minus. It takes perhaps 10-15 minutes to get into carmel, not a big deal really. The house itself is set up perfectly for a family get together with a couple of great patio spaces, a big BBQ and a million dollar view of the sea and carmel. We had four couples staying in the house and each had what amounted to a master suite for themselves....we cooked ourselves most nights and the kitchen had everything you could possibly want included. this was certainly a high end luxury rental experience. Overall I think the actual unit Is in fact much nicer than the pictures provided on the VRBO site."

  • Great Accommodations

"Stayed at the Cowell Beach House for a long weekend for Santa Cruz 70.3 triathlon, what a great place! We were very happy with the accommodations and the location of the house. The house was immaculate! And the location was fantastic! 3-4 blocks and we were at the beach/wharf. Great place, would stay here again next time I’m in town."

  • A vacation that we didn't want to end

"My Wife and our three boys (10,8, and 8) had a wonderful week down at Manresa Beach. I have camped for the last 20+ years at the campground nearby so this was a big change for us. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our trip and the ease of everything staying at this beach condo. I am a surfer too and the surf was great for most of the trip. The accommodations were perfect for us and is great for families or couples. The owner even added a third cot in the single bed room all made up with sheets, pillows and blankets which was a nice surprise since we have three kids. The unit had all the amenities you would want including including a nice gas BBQ on the deck and a great kitchen for cooking. They even have a toy bin with beach toys, chairs, and a few boogie boards. We ate in most of the time but we did go to Burger. (Period) in Aptos which has good burgers, shakes, and beers on tap. We also ate at the Crow's Nest in the Santa Cruz Harbor which was has a nice and sunny patio. We spent our time mostly at the beach but also went to the Boardwalk for 2 days and down to the Monterey Aquarium (Crowded!). I would highly recommend this vacation home to families looking for a nice place to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Santa Cruz but within close proximity to the Boardwalk, the Aquarium, and a very nice beach for kids."
