  • Great Location

"This is a beautiful home. Great view of the ocean and close enough to hear the waves crashing. Also just a few blocks from Fiscalini Ranch - a beautiful place to walk and enjoy the coastline. Beds were very comfortable. We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed cooking. Missed having a waffle iron, hand mixer and potato masher, but all in all the kitchen was well stocked with high end dishes, flatware, sharp knives and nice cookware. Reason for rating 4 stars is the lack and condition of the furniture. There were four adults and there was not enough furniture in the living room for all of us to sit and read or watch TV together and be comfortable. The couch is apartment sized and needs replacing, one over sized chair that was okay and a small wicker chair. Nice fireplace in master bedroom, but only one chair, so only one person can enjoy. Master bedroom is huge and plenty of room for a nice couch or two chairs. Living room fireplace does not work so that was also disappointing. Also the 3rd bedroom did not have a dresser. If you are going to be out all day and use this as a place to come back to sleep, than I would recommend. I would rate this 5+ if furniture was added and upgraded. It would really make it an inviting place if all had a place to sit and enjoy the home and it's surroundings together."

"Our group of 6 spent a week in this house and we had a great time. There was lots of room in the house for us and although it was too chilly to swim we enjoyed sitting out around the pool in the afternoon. The views from the front of the house were beautiful as well and it was soooo peaceful. You are a distance from downtown Paso Robles, but it was never a problem to get to town and the various golf courses and wineries in the area. After reading another review here, we hired The Prancing Chef to prepare a dinner for us and we were definitely not disappointed. It was FABULOUS!! The other thing we especially enjoyed was a visit to the Kiler Ridge olive oil farm. We did have a couple issues while at the house but they were promptly taken care of by Catherine, so we have only good things to say about our stay."

  • Adorable beach cottage was perfect for us

"Four of us long time friends gathered from across the state and from Colorado to share time together at Kat's little beach cottage. Everything about the place was perfect (although we could have used another blanket or two since the weather had turned cooler that week). Let me count the ways - very attractive, outside and inside, comfortable beds, spacious and comfortable seating in the living room for four people, lovely fireplace lit with multiple candles, great kitchen and dining area, outside seating was a great option, easy stroll to the beach, quiet street with parking, plenty of towels and glassware etc, cleaning supplies provided for removing the inevitable tar from our feet after a beach walk, and an easy walk into town for shops and groceries. We are all familiar and love Carp and the surrounding area and loved basing out of this adorable cottage. We four women even managed to do fine with just one bathroom! We shared hours of conversation, tears and laughter. We hired a masseuse to come in and give us massages - Marla was fantastic. Thanks for the tip, Kat. We are enjoying our memories of a very special time in your lovely cottage. Oh, and the train stop is just a few blocks away."

  • Perfect Beach Location

"This property was great for our group! The layout and space accommodated 8-9 people easily. The living room and deck have a great view of the pier and the beach/ocean and you can hear the waves crashing outside. The beds and were comfortable. The BBQ has a gas connection and was easy to use. Lots of room for parking including a garage. The location is hard to beat, within a couple minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to downtown Pismo. Laurie sent out great information about the place and how to get in. She was very responsive with any questions we had. I would definitely stay at this house again!"
