  • A Beautiful Place for a Beautiful Wedding

"Our daughter and her fiance chose Mesa del Sol for a venue for their July 9 2016 wedding by viewing the photos and reading the description on VRBO. When we arrived there, we were stunned. Mesa del Sol was more beautiful than shown in the photos. The property was immaculate, surrounded with vineyards, green grass, shade trees and Provence Lavender bushes and provided much privacy for guests.. Gorgeous views of the mountains and the valley below complemented the well appointed, nicely furnished and fully equipped main building and cottages. The spacious outdoors, the 300 year old beautiful oak trees provided a back-drop for an enchanting and magical wedding experience. We loved it and would definitely consider going back there."

  • A very special Mansion

"All of my children, grandchildren and our first great grandchild due at any time, spent the Memorial Day weekend at the Mansion. It was wonderful. The Mansion is hard to describe with lots of places to explore, alpaca to feed, eggs to gather and oranges to pick for fresh juice in the morning. There were 16 of us and it accommodated us all. The garden is beautiful, we relaxed and floated in the pool. The older boys loved the saloon and the outside fireplace was a hit with the adults. Kristina was delightful. She was so friendly, accommodating and spent time getting us informed about the property. We attended events for 4 days at the Ojai Spa and Resort for a family wedding and it was a very easy drive. A couple of young adults even walked. Thank you Kristina. We would definitely recommend this property and will be back if ever in the area again."

  • Awesome location, Awesome view to match.

"Had a girls weekend for 13 gals. There were enough beds for 12 and then there was the couches. Enough bathrooms to support all of us too, so that is saying something. However, one of them only had a shower the size you would expect on a cruise ship. Also, be very careful about the hot water, it comes out scalding. I did get burned when I went for my first be forewarned. I cannot give the place a 5 just for that....a quarter turn on the shower faucet went from warm to scalding. Beds were comfortable enough. There was definitely enough towels for all of us ladies, so that was great. Ooh, one tidbit, they have trolley/carts out by the parking lot for anyone to use to transport your luggage and groceries from your car to the condos, so utilize them. They worked out great! The view was amazing! From the master bedroom downstairs you just follow the path and climb the stairs over the dune and boom, THE BEACH! From the living room we would watch the pods of dolphins swim by and jump out of the water, constantly! Occasionally we would see a lone sea lion, that alone was amazing. Times like those make me miss being so close to the beach. I do warn you, the view was amazing, but it was awfully bright, I wore sunglasses indoors. They have blinds, but who would miss out on that view. Since it was all girls, copious amounts of wine and margaritas were consumed. The condo had more than enough wine and margarita glasses for us all, so no need for any paper or plasticware for us. We also chose to have all our meals at the condo. There was definitely more than enough pots and pans. We had taco night (the real Mexican version with all the trimmings), pancakes, bacon, eggs for breakfast. We also were able to make 2 types of pasta dishes for dinner. Hopefully the menu gives you the idea of how many pots and pans and baking sheets we had to work with. So the kitchen really worked out for us. I recommend this condo if you plan on just staying on the beach and not venturing elsewhere. The local grocery store and Target were a quick 10 minute drive away, but the main cities are a bit further. Now for the owners. They were great to deal with! Quick responses to questions and requests. I flew in from North Carolina to meet with my girls traveling from SoCal so I beat them there by 2 hours. So the owners politely accommodated my request for an earlier check-in. Mind you no one stayed right before we got there so the place was ready. Thank you Betty!"

"We have just completed a four month rental and we feel very fortunate that it was available at the time we wanted it. Many rental facilities present a rather glorified vision of the property, however in this case it is exactly as portrayed. It is a very comfortable house to live in and the location is excellent we walked to the beach almost every day and it is even a short walk into town . it is a very light and airy house and the facilities offered are amazing, including bicycles, kayaks and even a billiard table. The owner is readily available for any questions that might arise and is very attentive to any concerns that you might have. Carpinteria is a charming and somewhat quaint small town and I was surprised at the number of good restaurants available. If and when we rent a gain in Carpinteria, we would not dream of going anywhere else. If you rent here you will not be disappointed."
