  • I would've given 7 stars if it were allowed!

"Joanie and Steve created a fairytale style vacation place with artistic interiors and landscaped gardens that has the personal touch. Beautiful paintings by mother and daughter hang on the walls; the sparkling bamboo floor tiles, the wall colors complement an eclectic architecture that is quite subtle but nor overt. The orange and pistachio orchards blends 'starkly' with the mountain landscape ... The two bedrooms and two full baths are enough for a family of 4 or more. There's a large living area and fully appointed modern kitchen that complement the airy and spacious interiors. Outdoor dining and coffee tables and chairs dovetail perfectly in the gardens. The swing set built by Steve is very inviting in the yard. Terra Bella is a small place with a few restaurants and a 15 minute ride to nearby Porterville has more ... The drive to Sequoia National Park Three Rivers entrance is just an hour or so from here. Joanie baked an excellent cake, gave us fresh oranges from their orchards, garden zucchini, eggs from Ellie (their free range Rhode Island Red chicken laid those eggs!), and gifted us a orange bloom honey jar. -Rudy"

  • Just WOW!!!

"I am afraid that writing a great review will mean we never get to book our new favorite Delta Getaway Cottage in the future. So, it is really tempting to write a bad review so we can have the place all to ourselves. Something tells me that would create some bad juju... The truth is this: this place is an absolute gem. Cozy. Clean. Quiet. Secluded. Scenic. Perfectly appointed. Owners are great. Cool kids and loved meeting Dottie. So much cool stuff to do in the area, too. We bring our ski boat up, park it at Walnut Grove Marina, and enjoy the Delta by land and waterway...and get in some skiing. Our visit coincided with Rio Vista Bass Festival. Lots of boats out, which made skiing a little more challenging, but also lots of fun stuff to do. We particularly enjoyed the fireworks from the deck at The Point Restaurant. Hope to return soon...and hope you have availability."
