Recent Borrego Springs reviews

  • The rave reviews are all true!

"My wife and I took a relaxing weekend trip to the desert. The Desert Rose Casita is an A++. We loved the amenities and felt very comfortable. This Casita is charming, private, comfortable, functional, and in great condition. Everything you need is provided (bedding, towels, robes, little soaps, coffee, kitchen equipment and utensils, bottled water, direct TV, wifi, fridge, freezer). The kitchen is just enough (one burner, microwave, small sink, fridge, dish rack, dishes, detergent). The bed is comfortable and big. Air conditioning works great. Couch (we didn't try it but I believe it is a pullout bed) table with chairs, bathroom with just shower. The yard has a pool with lots of privacy (aside from letting us know and showing us around Bob and Linda were not heard from or seen- cell phone number was given to us if needed). There is a nice comfortable yard for sitting (firepit) and a hot tub and yard games (horseshoes and beanbag toss). We really felt like we had the place to ourselves."

  • Borego Golf Outing

"We take 12-16 men to Borrego once a year for a golf outing. We rented 5 homes from TurnKey this property served as our host house. It is very roomy and could accommodate our group for the annual BBQ and other evening affairs. The only negitive issue is the BBQ is a little undersized for our group."

  • Outstanding location, Beautiful Casita,

"The property was clean, well appointed. TV, sound system, internet, all worked perfectly. It felt very welcoming and warm. Golf, hiking, tennis, and restaurants were all close by. The fact that it was a gated community offered a quiet surrounding with lots of walking paths through the desert and beautiful golf course. Mark and Susan responded quickly to every question and inquirie, which made the whole process easy and smooth. I would most highly recommend this property and location to family and friends."

  • A charming, well located home.

"This is intended as constructive criticism. The property is very well located and has an inviting character and charm. The furnishings are excellent, especially for a rental property. Our one complaint is the heating, or more properly lack of heating. As we understand it, there is no central heating only a single propane unit in the living room and two small portable electric heaters. When temperatures fall into the 50s in the evening, this necessitates spending the first few hours of each day bundled up in jackets and sweaters. In addition, the living room heater has trouble reaching the master bedroom at the far end of the house, and it throws off a vague unpleasant odor of either gas or ozone. We like the property nonetheless and consider the lack of heating more an annoyance than problem."
