  • Wonderful getaway spot for groups!

"This was the perfect getaway spot for our yearly "friends hanging out" vacation. We're typically a pretty big group - 25 people or more most years. This resort was the perfect spot! Your group can all hang out around the pool together during the day, and yet everyone has their own private room & bathroom to retreat to when they want. The "courtyard" layout is perfect and feels totally private. Do you have any idea how hard that type of layout and room arrangement is to find for larger groups? It's basically impossible! The kitchen is a bit small but it worked just fine for our large group - most nights we grilled, and since it isn't isolated we even ordered delivery a few nights. The sound system they already have set up works great so there's no need to worry about creating your own ambiance. Amazing mineral pool, amazing mineral water spa, firepit for chilling around at night. TONS of towels and nice touches provided. The owner was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and helpful and interested in ensuring we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves with absolutely no disturbance. It was lovely."

  • We had a lovely stay

"The house has been designed beautifully. The furniture is clean, new, and comfortable. Our bed was great. The kitchen was stocked with good utensils, nice pots and pans, and nice dishes. We weren't crazy about the shower, which involves standing in a tall tub - it's just a little awkward to get out - but because we were asked to be super water-conscious, we didn't use it every day anyway. This house felt luxurious in many ways, including a lovely patio space where we spent our evenings. Do be aware of the need to be careful with water, and the septic system. I didn't see that as a drawback, merely a reality in the desert on a property that is self-sufficient in terms of water. We didn't meet the owners, but they were very responsive to text messages and gave clear instructions in advance. Our main purpose in being here was to spend multiple days seeing and hiking in Joshua Tree. Our springtime visit was perfect in terms of weather, flowers, and uncrowded trails! We would gladly stay at Ninja Ranch again."
