  • Five Star Experience

"A group of six of us rented this house for a July 4th extended weekend. We wanted rest, relaxation, sunshine, pool/spa, beautiful surroundings, and a kitchen to cook amazing dinners. This house stood out immediately on VRBO and once I spoke to the Owner (who was so wonderful to work with) we were in... and it could not have been a better decision. The house is wonderful! Immaculately clean, well stocked and beautifully furbished. I felt like we were at our own home within the first evening because it is such a comfortable and warm space. The beds were top of the line comfortable and every bathroom had a spa like quality. Once we got supplies from Vons and Costco, we never left the house again! This is a low key, relaxing, luxurious, and quiet space that far exceeded my expectations. I can not wait to stay again!"

  • Oasis in the desert!

"Rancho Loco is an amazing oasis in the desert! My family of three went with another family of four over a long weekend and had such a great time here. It’s not too far from Los Angeles where we live, just a little further than Palm Springs. First off, it’s located a few minutes north of the town of Joshua Tree. We brought a cooler of food, but if you need anything there's a Walmart and other grocery options about 13 mins away on the 62. There’s also some small shops and restaurants (Crossroads Cafe yum!), and the National Park entrance is right around the corner. (The National Park is definitely not to be missed if you visit—just bring lots of water!) Back to the Rancho Loco—The property is very large and very private as the nearest neighbor is far off in the distance. The main house has the kitchen (stove/oven, small microwave, regular sized fridge, coffeemaker, etc), and large open family room which includes dining area with a big table that would seat at least 10-12. The rest of the family room is quite a comfortable place to hang out and talk, play games, etc. There’s lots of windows and lots of light coming in, and you can enjoy the beautiful desert and and mountain views. There’s a main bedroom which we didn’t stay in but had two beds (a queen and a futon) and a bathroom. Across the side is the guest house, which looks like a converted small barn. There’s a loft with a queen bed, and downstairs a picnic table, living area and single sofa beds. There’s a door which takes you to the laundry room and bathroom. There’s a small refrigerator in there too. It must be said that both houses on the property are both utilitarian and neatly designed. You can tell the owners have put a lot of love into this place. Swamp coolers and fans did a fine cooling job in both houses in 100 degree heat. Everybody was very comfortable. In between the houses is the pool area. They have a salt water pool which is so refreshing. There’s a nice seating area under shade too, and you can put music on the stereo system in the main house and listen outside, which was a really nice touch. There’s also a grill you can use. Then you realize as you watch the sun setting behind the purple mountains, with a beer in the hand, friends and family on your side, that Rancho Loco is a special place, and you wish the weekend wouldn’t end."

  • Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place!

"El Coyote exceeded our expectation and then some! The place was immaculate, very welcoming, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend to unplug and unwind away from the city. The photos of the house looked great online, but the place was even better in person. The location was quite amazing as there was a mountain side in the backyard which you could climb to watch the sunrise/sunset with an amazing view of the valley. With an outdoor grill, fireplace, and hot tub, it was a great way to hangout well into the night to the sounds of coyote packs howling around at night =) The owner was very responsive and thorough with instructions/information regarding the house which made everything that much easier for us. I highly recommend El Coyote, and I'll definitely be coming back again for another session of R&R with friends! Thank you Christa!"

  • Fabulous Mid-Century Modern Retreat

"Our family of six loved staying at the Atomic Ranch. It is beautifully decorated, clean, and stocked with thoughtful extras (chic toiletries, Nespresso coffee & creamer, board games, interesting books). The owner, Clay, has thought of every detail and is very friendly and helpful. What makes this house so special is the yard. The yard is spacious, gorgeous, and very private, with lovely mountain views and a large heated pool. We spent most of our time by the pool, playing ping pong, and enjoying the perfect weather. This is a lovingly maintained, classic home in a quiet, classic neighborhood."
