  • Spectacular property, wonderful accommodations

"Villa del Fiori was everything we wanted and more for a girls' weekend escape from Los Angeles - the proximity to the National Park, the privacy & quiet property, not to mention the incredible pool and spa...we were all just really amazed and satisfied. Dale met us personally on check-in and gave a thorough walk-through and tour of the house and the grounds. Seeing all the wildlife every morning before it became too hot was a treat - feeding the quails, seeing all the desert cottontails and lizards roaming free across the property made the experience all the more enjoyable. A truly elevated desert experience - highly recommended!"

  • We had a lovely stay

"The house has been designed beautifully. The furniture is clean, new, and comfortable. Our bed was great. The kitchen was stocked with good utensils, nice pots and pans, and nice dishes. We weren't crazy about the shower, which involves standing in a tall tub - it's just a little awkward to get out - but because we were asked to be super water-conscious, we didn't use it every day anyway. This house felt luxurious in many ways, including a lovely patio space where we spent our evenings. Do be aware of the need to be careful with water, and the septic system. I didn't see that as a drawback, merely a reality in the desert on a property that is self-sufficient in terms of water. We didn't meet the owners, but they were very responsive to text messages and gave clear instructions in advance. Our main purpose in being here was to spend multiple days seeing and hiking in Joshua Tree. Our springtime visit was perfect in terms of weather, flowers, and uncrowded trails! We would gladly stay at Ninja Ranch again."

  • An Oasis in the Desert

"My husband and I stayed at David and Patti's cottage for 3 nights while visiting Joshua Tree National Park in September, 2016. It was the most perfect place to stay....a great kitchen, nice screened-in porch, and a private patio for viewing the stars in the evening. Overall the cottage was very clean and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. Communication with David was easy and flawless. From the cottage it was only about 3 miles to the western entrance of the park. Do yourself a favor and reserve the cottage if you are planning on visiting the area. You will not be disappointed!"

  • Great weekend get a way spot

"It was over 100 degrees outside, but the swamp cooler kept us cool in the mid July heat. This is a great location to visit Joshua Tree Park. Bring your camera because the property has huge amounts of character. We didn't sleep in the bottle house but we woke up early and went out to enjoy the beauty. The stars are gorgeous, and desert animals do come by to hang out. The kitchen is stocked as well as you should expect, we did most of our cooking on the grill because of the weather. The bed in the house was comfortable and all other amenities were in good working order. Owner was responsive to questions and very nice, we hope to stay here again."
