  • Excellent!

"This condo is everything the VRBO ad says! We appreciated the recent renovations and upgrades - everything looks and feels like new. The visits from the bighorn sheep right outside our window were a highlight. Owners were a pleasure to work with."

  • Ideal place for a family group or friends who want to hang out around a pool and spa

"This house accommodated our group of four adults and two young children with room to spare. We particularly liked being in our own little "compound" on a double lot with walls on all sides. We spent a lot of time around and in the spa and pool. While the house was built in the 50s, it has been thoroughly updated. It is located in an unpretentious residential neighborhood, which was our preference (we weren't interested in being in one of the gated communities that dot the valley). We cooked on the outdoor grill and sat round the fire pit at night. We didn't get to use the pool bar or the wood-burning pizza oven. Maybe next trip. The house is located close to the La Quinta village. Jule's Market is conveniently nearby in the village, and we recommend it for slightly upscale groceries as well as for your liquor, beer, and wine needs. Trader Joe's is a few miles away on Washington. Saturday farmers market in the village is worth visiting, too. We'd also recommend lunch or dinner at the La Quinta Resort and Club, a five-minute drive away. Other attractions at this end of the valley include Shields Gardens for lunch or brunch, and, of course, date shakes. Also fun is a movie at the Century La Quinita and XD theaters. Some of the theaters have the paired reclining lounge seating that can be reserved online beforehand. The one thing to keep in mind is that it's a 45 minute drive into Palm Springs or the airport. We made that trip several times to pick up and drop off people as well as to go to the Thursday evening street fair on Palm Canyon Blvd. It's not a bad drive, but if you plan to go into Palm Springs every day, it can get tiring. The property is very comfortable and homey but not fancy or spectacular. That suits our style. The owners really want to please, and help was provided when asked for. You will need to get a quick primer on how to operate the pool and spa pumps, but don't let that throw you. Be sure to tell them if you want the pool heated when you arrive because they will go over there and turn it on several hours in advance. Also, pool is heated to a max of 78, spa 104. If it's warm out, this is fine, but it's not bathtub warm. Keep in mind if you have little kids. All in all, a great place to which we'd return."

  • 5 star home with many amenities

"Perfect home for a desert getaway. Private pool and spa with a firepit and putting green were great to enjoy! House was clean and well furnished and stocked with necessities. There's a ping ping table in the garage as well as a foosball table in the family room. Sleeps 10-12 comfortably. House is behind electric gates and secure. Will definitely return!"
