  • Exactly as advertised

"Our vacation at Christopher's Palm Desert place at the Sandpiper was outstanding. It was exactly as shown with all amenities and such a great , quiet location in the complex . Beds were extremely comfortable, high end appliances all worked fine. Would love to stay there again, especially during our cold Canadian winters, Phil (Leonard)."

  • Great stay at Sandpiper

"We went down to attend Desert Trip and stayed at Susan and Steve's place in Palm Desert. We were fully anticipating having to pay a premium as initial inquiries were outrageously priced. Much higher than what is posted on the site. Much to our pleasant surprise the rates we payed here were very reasonable and exactly what was posted. We were provided great directions to get there and when we arrived we were not disappointed. There place at Sandpiper was a true gem. Very clean and an awesome open plan. The view out to the pool area is spectacular with the mountains in the background. We lounged around all day prior to the concerts and it was so relaxing. We hope that this place is available the next time we come down as we would definitely stay again. Oh I forgot to mention the location was perfect. About 20 minutes from the airport and right next door to superb shopping and great restaurants. Also a 30 min shuttle ride to the Coachella site. Thanks Susan and Steve!!"

  • Beautiful condominium; well-appointed; wonderful hosts

"We stayed at Paul/Terry's Sandpiper condominium recently soon after completion of the remodel and it is beautifully done. The entire unit has been very thoughtfully redone including opening up the kitchen/nook/living room into one large 'great room' that is light, bright and airy. The kitchen is completely stocked; all new appliances; new dishes, utensils, glassware; pots/pans/bowls/cutting boards, coffee maker ... everything one would need. The new refrigerator offered automatic ice and water dispensing. We really enjoyed the large kitchen island that has four bar stools and ample space to sit around. The patio off the living room was nicely done with new outdoor furniture; a great place to have morning coffee and look out over the beautiful grounds/grass (there's even a grapefruit tree 3 steps off the patio). The swimming pool is just steps away and heated just right (a very quiet place to just relax/read offering both shade/sun). The living room has two large comfortable couches and the new 60" television was great for evening watching. There is also a smaller patio accessed off either the kitchen and master bedroom. It features a spa/hot tub and patio furniture. The master bath has a large shower built for two; the bedroom contained all new furniture including a large (king) bed. The second bedroom has two very large full size beds (that could be pushed together to make a large king bed) and a bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Both bathrooms have large counter spaces and generous drawer storage. Beds are new with excellent mattresses; very comfortable bedding, pillows, sheets. There are extra towels in the bathrooms and the owners took steps to provide the small things that are appreciated including new hair dryers, and ample supplies of hotel-type small soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and other bath accessories. There were even post-it note pads and pens in nightstands and drawers. A real bonus about Sandpiper is that it is also only a short walk to some wonderful hiking trails (located behind the complex on the hills). The location in El Paseo is excellent; we were minutes away from great restaurants and golf courses in several directions. The 'bottom line' is that this is a beautiful condominium in a very nice setting that is cared for by two wonderful hosts who go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. They are responsive and helpful and take pride in what they have created ... a real gem! Thank you, Paul/Terry!"

  • Location, Location- Amazing!

"I travel a lot for work. Platinum with few hotels and couple Airlines. Needless to say, I can be spoiled. Never stayed/user VRBO before. My wife wanted to try a place where we could feel at home and not part of a crowd or a guest. My expectations were surpassed beyond. The bathrooms, 2, are as good if not better than any "W," Marriott, or Westin, Impressive. The size of the living space is much larger than the pictures let on. Which makes sense. As this was built when large rooms and high ceilings were standard. The amenities surpass and go beyond. I am impressed with the owners having ping pong table, bikes, and other active sports equipment available. The bedrooms are large and the main master was over 500 aft by itself. I am sure.. this location is prime. Walking distance to the most exclusive retail area in desert. Even Starbucks. But the kitchen was fully equipped... I Walked to the Palm Springs museum and back up to Maestros for A Martini!! So much to talk about even the warm pool!!"
