  • Winter Getaway

"We took a winter weeks break to enjoy the Palm Desert area with our small dog Rexie (cockapoo) after the holidays. We rented 137 Torromolinos Dr and found it to be very accommodating. The beds and furnishings were lovely and the TV got all the channels anyone would need. Kitchen was superb and had all of the things one would need to cook a great meal. Pool was also very close and convenient. I would certainly rent this unit again if it was availabe. Rancho Las Palmas is the perfect get-away, quiet, clean with impecable landscaping and good security. RC & DJ."

  • The home is exactly as it shows in his photos. Gorgeous.

"Two weeks was not long enough to be at this perfectly named Hummingbird Hideaway. Great location. We had three couples and our single elderly mom. The bedrooms are perfect each with their own ensuite which are beautifully decorated. The salt water pool and spa are a must (you need to pay extra for pool, but well worth it). Every morning waking up and swimming then floating in the pool while watching the sun rise was spectacular. The patio has a large screen TV which you can see from the pool/spa area (Bose outdoor speakers are disconnected now due to city ordinances for rentals), but sitting near TV at patio table is very cozy. Plenty of bathroom towels and pool towels. Kitchen nicely stocked for cooking and plenty of spices (probably left from other renters - we left some also). Did check dates on many condiments in fridge and needed to throw some away. Nice BBQ outside to cook on. Nice wine/beer fridge in the bar area. My husband had brought some favorites from our wine cellar and definitely a favorite of his to have somewhere to store good wines. We did have a few minor issues with maintenance but both Tony and Andrea (property manager) were right on top of it. It was during the New Year holiday also, so we knew it might be difficult to find someone to help, but they did a great job. The only thing I have negative to say is that the master bedding did not fit very well and for the second week of stay I washed the sheets and it took FOREVER to dry them plus the mattress cover needs replacing. There wasn't a second set (even though in the well equipped laundry room) it said there was. Also, they only have a Keurig which I find to be wasteful and not flavorful. I did purchase many boxes from the local Home Goods at quite the discount as compared to grocery stores. Wish they had had a regular coffee maker. Albertson's and Bristol Farms are great stores and very close. Even though the Hwy. 111 is very close (yet you cannot access it directly) the backyard foliage muffles the noise quite well. All in all, we all agreed this property was perfect and we would rent it again."

  • Excellent Experience!

"We stayed at the desert house for five days in early January and highly recommend this property! It's exactly as advertised - spacious, functional, and inviting. Our group consisted of seven people, including one infant. We spent most of our time in the backyard lounging by the pool or soaking in the hot tub. The yard is extremely well maintained - the pool and hot tub are easy to control, the grassy area is quite large, and there's lots of seating and tables. We cooked all our meals at the house using either the outdoor BBQ area or the very functional and well stocked main kitchen, and the two dining areas easily accommodated us. Inside the house, we took full advantage of the Sonos wireless audio system, the suffleboard table, and the ping pong table. The bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable - especially the master with its massive ensuite and walk-in closet - and the living areas were more than we needed. We were also pleasantly surprised how child friendly the house is. It has a highchair, a mobile play station, playpen, and lots of pool toys. Other than a shopping trip when we arrived, we didn't need to leave the house for anything! The location is good, too. Although we mostly stayed at home, we ventured out for a desert hike and went up the tramway. Both were a short drive from the house - about 20 minutes away. Easy drive to and from the Palm Springs Airport as well. Lastly, the owner/host is excellent. He responded quickly to all inquiries ahead of our arrival and was easily reachable once we got there. We didn't need anything beyond what the house had but he checked in regularly just in case - he really wants his guests to enjoy their stay. Overall, this is a great property and excellent value for the area and amenities. We would definitely go back!"
