  • GREAT location

"This property was very comfortable for our family. Had all the amenities for comfortable living with nice amenities. We enjoyed the pool and the close proximity to shuttle service for the 3-day concert we attended. Would absolutely stay in this location again! The owner was very accommodating and responsive!!"

  • Cozy but roomy, perfect location, WALK to Snow Summit Resort THANK YOU SHERRY!

"Rent this. The downstairs is open and keeps the entire family "together" during pool games, football games, twister, movies, and meal preparation! There is wifi and a nice DVD movie selection, cable TV, washer/dryer and plenty of towels. The yard is truly fully fenced and pet friendly, with a jacuzzi (we did not try using the jacuzzi) and a deck with chairs. Homeowner very responsive to questions with answers and guidance. Homeowner's requests and house rules very reasonable. Sleeping accommodations terrific. Upstairs takes time to warm up, so EXPECT THAT, but it's not a big problem, turn up the heat when you walk in, there are plenty of extra comforters and blankets in both bedroom closets. You can WALK to snow summit. It's about two city blocks distance to the parking lot. If you have little ones and big ones, it's easy for Adults, older kids, to come and go to the ski resort and the house as they please. The 7-eleven is very close, ski rentals too, 7-eleven carries firewood (bring your own) and most things you need for a quick something in kitchen or other supplies. Groceries and Kmart very nearby (4 min. by car). The property has all the snow shovels you will need to clear your deck and around your car. Remember, you need tire chains to come up the mtn. in the snow (ice). You can order those online and make sure you have tensors for your chains/cables, gloves, plastic to put on ground, a long sleeve jacket or something to protect your clothing. TIP: I have a "back scratcher" that helps me "grab" the wire on the under car side of the tire. There are online movies to show you how to do it. I recommend watching those movies. There are 3 routes into Big Bear. Traffic is heavy getting up there, it can add unexpected drive time (2 hrs 4 us). Snow Summit has skiing for beginners on up, lockers to rent, equipment rentals, lessons, food, and another thing I'm grateful for...bathrooms at the top of chair 2. There is also a tubing park - Grizzly park - there at Snow Summit, we did not use it, so I can't review it, but good to know for little ones. Downtown Big Bear very close by. The Marina very close by. This home is home away from home and user friendly. It's not so perfect that you are worried about the house which makes relaxing a little tough, and maintained and cared about enough to feel clean, safe, comfortable, roomy and fun. It's your friends home, and other people use it too. So come ready to live there like that. Not a hotel."

  • Fabulous Mid-Century Modern Retreat

"Our family of six loved staying at the Atomic Ranch. It is beautifully decorated, clean, and stocked with thoughtful extras (chic toiletries, Nespresso coffee & creamer, board games, interesting books). The owner, Clay, has thought of every detail and is very friendly and helpful. What makes this house so special is the yard. The yard is spacious, gorgeous, and very private, with lovely mountain views and a large heated pool. We spent most of our time by the pool, playing ping pong, and enjoying the perfect weather. This is a lovingly maintained, classic home in a quiet, classic neighborhood."

  • The property was amazing, truly a great place to spend a weekend with a large group. Amazing views.

"Our stay was ruined by the fact that we were without power due to the bad storms so it made it difficult to enjoy in the dark and cold. But regardless of all that in the morning we had some fun outside in the snow before we left and the view was breathtaking. Also the owner was very attentive and kind to do whatever possible to help through this rough day. We would definitely recommend everyone getting this place because it's a true home away from home. All the amenities that you may need to make your stay comfortable."
