  • Exquisite Secluded Sanctuary on the River

"My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary here and it was absolutely breathtaking. Hands down the best part was the huge deck, lounge chairs and hot tub that overlooked the river. It doesn't get better than that. So serene, day or night. The rock formations down below are beautiful and offer many spots to lay out and enjoy the sun or swim. The cabin is the perfect size for one couple just looking to kick back and relax (but would even be doable for two couples with the other room that is included in the rental). The owner has thought about everything you'd need and nothing more which makes for a wonderfully relaxing time at Tara. The only thing we would change was I wished I had scheduled more time for relaxing at Tara and less time in the surrounding Nevada City/Grass Valley area. Go out and do stuff one day and stay in the rest of your trip. It is worth it! We will definitely be coming back!"

  • Super family friendly!

"We spent the weekend at your cabin with our 1-year old daughter, my parents, and my brother's family, which includes three kids under the age of 8. The house was perfect. Lots of space, and lots of fun things to do with kids of all ages. My nieces LOVED the pinball machine and ping pong table. We bbq'd one night and sat on the back patio, which was perfect. We drove up to Alpine Lake one of the days, so the cabin is in a great location. Overall, wonderful weekend. Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

  • Awesome place to stay when visiting YNP

"Stayed May 15-17, 2016. The only complaint I can make is it was hard to find in the dark. The property isn't located in a normal progression for street numbering. This should be added to the property location details and wasn't. Otherwise, we found the property clean, well maintained and there is a full size well appointed kitchen for making your own meals. There are plenty of places to spread out and relax after hiking all day at YNP. The bedrooms are a good size, and beds were comfortable. This property has two units one upstairs and one down stairs. We stayed in the down stairs location. Location was great. Thanks for a great place to rest. Would definitely stay here again if we make it back to YNP."

  • Great place to stay

"Wonderful owners and a great place to stay. Highly recommend. We spent our days hiking in Yosemite and enjoyed the cabin in the evening. Very comfortable accommodations and close to Yosemite."
