  • Peaceful Retreat

"Beautiful spot, cozy cottage. It had everything we needed for our stay. Jim was so accommodating and helpful with details requested in advance of arrival. This is a secluded spot but within a very easy distance to town. Great for catching up on some reading and just enjoying a break from the city. We would definitely stay again."

  • Great Apartment for short or long term stay

"The Apartment is clean and modern with all the appliances and furnishings needed to comfortably cook, entertain, relay, and work. The covered porch is particularly nice during the summer to get out of the sun and have quite secluded dining experiences. The owner is very responsive and available. It is located in the downtown area so dining and shopping are within walking distance. The natural foods store is one block away, Safeway is 5 blocks, and the best pub in town is only 8 blocks down the road. I will be staying there when visiting Quincy for work and play."

  • Fantastic old timey getway in the mountains

"A group of us came up to Downieville to mountain bike, fish and swim. This place delivered. Amazing house surrounded by open space, walking distance from downtown and swimming holes. And of course, right at the bottom of the trails. Perfect."

  • Way better than the pictures suggest

"We stayed at the house for a week during the Christmas period. Arriving there, we were immediately in the snow, which was great and beautiful to see. The house itself is way bigger and better than the photos show, with not only 2 living rooms, 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, but also a big 2 car garage and a big deck at the back of the house. A deck from which you overlook the forest and look at the mountain tops. The kitchen has everything you need, there a plenty of toys for the kids, you have wifi and TV. So everything you need. Down the mountain, Quincy is only 15 minutes away for all your needs and up the mountain you end up at the summit with loads of snow and snowplay. Don't forget to bring the snow chains though! All in all a really great stay, with great help and support from the owner Raymond."
