  • Country and Comfy

"Thank you so much for having a clean, comfortable and well stocked with all the right basics apartment. It was very quiet and very private. We will definitely be back. Vanessa, you have a little treasure. I am certain that being well situated to the fair grounds and near downtown Grass Valley makes this a very popular location. Thank you for everything. Nicola"

  • Great cabin on beautiful property

"My wife and 6-month-old daughter holed up here for three nights this summer. The cabin was very cozy, clean and comfortable with a great little deck. But what really sold the place for us was the gorgeous 8+-acre property we had access to. It included beautifully maintained trails and a great creekside campsite/lounging area. Scott and Janet live next door and were there to greet us, but otherwise gave us sufficient space. Three relatively minor things that I thought needed some improvement: updated kitchen utensils (especially the knives), a gas grill (rather than charcoal) and more comfortable deck chairs. Otherwise, this was a pretty great find. We definitely hope to return."

  • Fantastic!

"When we first pulled up in the black of night, the Perseid Meteor Shower had just started; and we knew it was going to be a good time. The cabin itself is fabulous, enough to hold eight guests without feeling crammed. The kitchen was so nice we decided to cook the entire time despite knowing there were some great restaurants in Nevada City. While the location seems far from Nevada City, it really isn't and parts of the drive are beautiful. The lake was a little swampy when we went, and the mosquitos were everywhere; but it was 102 degrees and the kids had a great time! Heed the warning of the owners! We did see a black bear come down the hill to our trash. Also deer and other wildlife walking through the trees bordering the cabin. If you're into nature but don't want to drive far, this is the perfect place! Thank you! We'll be back again soon."
