  • Peaceful, wonderful location

"We just stayed at The Midpines house for the 3rd time and I can definitely say we'll be back. We love the privacy, the house is clean and well stocked...the layout is also perfect! Our dogs enjoy the acreage behind the house and the hot tub is fabulous. This time we added the bungalow which gave us more room to spread out and we loved the big screen/stereo for Olympic game watching 😃򐰮 Thank you Ansley & Kelly for sharing your fabulous home!"

  • Nice Condo in Bear Valley

"Silver Cloud is probably the nicest place to stay in Bear Valley. The Lodge is a little rough around the edges, and many of the cottages, houses and condo's are similarly old. Silver Cloud (this condo complex) is relatively new, kept in good condition, and with modern amenities. This condo is a well maintained condo at a reasonable price. The owner is very helpful in staying in contact and helping educate you on the condo. I like the keyless entry system - you just punch in a code - that makes life so much easier than having to carry around yet another set of keys on vacation. The condo itself gets a little hot during the day - the air conditioning/control system did not work as well as I thought it might have, but I suppose if I had spent any serious time trying to debug it, I would have figured out how to make it hum.....would definitely stay here again in the future. It fit our needs very well, though sometimes at the end of long day I wish we did not have to trek up another 3 flights of stairs to get to the room (I know there is an elevator, but that requires more walking......)."

  • Very Relaxing

"We had a great stay! We brought 3 children with us, ages 6, 6, and 11. They were able to run and play on the grass, explore the property, and watch the wild turkeys and deer that occasionally roam in the yard. The cottage is very cozy and perfect for 6 people. The kitchen is stocked with more than enough utensils and cookware if you decide to stay in for an evening. We did visit a few wineries: TooGood, Mastroserio, and Skinner. Skinner had a beautiful view but they busy and we weren't able to get service. Mastroserio is very laid back and they have a couple of large dogs that roam the property (our boys loved them), and TooGood has the wine caves and barrel tasting. The Pub across the street has good food and it's a short walk from the property. We did venture into "town" to a little coffee shop that has great coffee and pastries, and later had dinner at the Gold Vine grill. All in all we had a great time. The only issue we had was with the cell service and the internet. We have a child with medical issues and we weren't able to get cell phone reception (absolute must) and the internet was extremely slow, but if you're looking to unplug and unwind this is the perfect place."
